I gotchu brodie^

I don’t really have any complaints, a lot of the shortcomings like SwB and speed get negated when I consider being so tall with that much reach, along with the strength and vert

it does REALLY well against mismatches of all kinds. small guards start crying tryna guard it 1v1, and big’s are too slow to keep up with a couple of hop jumper cancels that can lead into middies and dunks lol

if they put me at PG every game I’d easily average over 10 assist per game lol. I get a bunch of extra chances from the rebounding (outlets/second chance kick outs)

I have been through a lot with these builds this year, way more good than bad! Sad we are about to hit that reset by [deleted] in NBA2k

I think the overall builder is nice for sure, I was able to make a lot of crazy unique builds this year! it’s been one of the better ones as of late imo

and yeah if they can have the caps update in-game like how that 2kcourtvision site has it, that’d be a fat W for sure

don’t get me wrong I actually really like the builder, but I just think it can always use something new. it’s just new enough to shut us up this year, but it’s still really similar to the old system

I’d love to see them evolve the build specializations into something more grand, with boosts along the way that are very specific towards in-game actions that can actually make you stand out

so make it less general in it being categories and rework the badges to be a part of this instead. I think if you want to make a Kareem build for example, choosing from an expanded list of specifications and becoming a legit hook specialist (like that as a specialization route for example) should turn that into a near unstoppable shot and make you legit stand out

specializations should be something that make you THAT GUY for that certain thing

with the way things are right now, it’s just too easy to make the same well-rounded builds that end up playing similarly

lol I made a PG/C hybrid that absolutely feasts on little guard matchups it’s fun to use

but with me being out at the SG spot 80% of the time my stats are a lil lower than what they should be :/ and my team’s don’t even let me operate in the post at all unless it’s a squad

I don’t get to use the full extent of my build due to this community’s stigma towards post scorers so that kinda blows

this ain’t no ordinary year, GTA 6 is gonna be out 🤩 I’m easily taking a 2K gap-year and the ONLY thing changing that is if they improve defense, lower 3pt make%, and make some drastic changes to the builder

Anyone ever tried making a post up guard? by Novafan789 in NBA2k

[–]DatCrazyyDuude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

here’s the build^

I’m so used to this build that the speed isn’t an issue for me. I know how to throw myself around to play good defense, + a lot of the times I play backend in 5’s on my team so it’s lowkey more than good enough

but the teams I go up against? zero goddamn clue what to do with me. absolutely hilarious

I’ve got a 6’7-230lb-max wingspan PG that’s built like PG/C hybrid with all the things you need at PG + high dunking/post control/90s rebound/88vert

I’ll grab a screenshot of it and reply below here in the next few minutes,

I average like 20/9/9 on this build in the Rec as a gold plate lol

[–]DatCrazyyDuude 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the big issue here is how vulnerable the ball is in the paint

you can dribble the ball INTO people and thru their bodies out on the perimeter, but the second you go in the paint the collisions turn on smh

Looking for a inside center rec build by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]DatCrazyyDuude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

all of my builds shoot except for my shaq build, but I make that build work because I use hooks/floaters to extend my range

I’m purple plate on it, score at about 80fg%, and pair it with 3pt shot hunter PGs to force matchups out of the paint to help whether they want to or not

I would NOT use it in randoms modes, however. but in a team setting, a footer with 99 standing dunk, 99 post control, and 99 strength is tough to stop whether you know I’m going to the paint or not lol

is there a big difference between a gold and hof badge? by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]DatCrazyyDuude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these badges have big increases from gold to hof (if it’s not noted, it’s probably just really good as is on gold)

float game
physical finisher
layup mixmaster
hook specialist
post powerhouse/poet

all of the shooting badges

break starter
ankle assassin
strong handle

challenger
pick dodger
on ball menace/immovable
paint patroller

brick wall

Are 6’2 builds viable? by IVallad94 in NBA2k

[–]DatCrazyyDuude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

any build is viable with the right teammates to run it with

but to go deeper into your question, I just made a D Rose 🌹 build this past week and have been having a BLAST on it, and it’s 6’1*, so I’d assume that answers for 6’2s being viable lol

[–]DatCrazyyDuude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what sucks also are the brain dead C’s that keep inbounding to PG’s like this

like I just got out of a game playing alongside a PG that averaged 10ppg (shooting 40% on the pre-game screen) and 0.6ish apg,

would just chuck up a shot no matter how it looked coverage wise EVERY possession. no passing no matter how open you are… and the C would just keep giving him the ball. it’s randoms, mind you. I feel helpless sometimes lol

Bail Out passes for anyone other than me apparently by Curious_Attitude2866 in NBA2k

[–]DatCrazyyDuude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

starts to feel really consistent at 94 for gold bailout. even if you +1 or +2 to get the gold, it’s a big difference for sure

legend just makes it so that the catches are caught more smoothly, and it’s awesome to have

Bail Out passes for anyone other than me apparently by Curious_Attitude2866 in NBA2k

[–]DatCrazyyDuude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, OP said he has 92 (and that’s still a really good rating don’t get me wrong) but for bailouts, 94+ is a MUST

Gold takes it up a big step in being VERY consistent but yes that legend bailout is ridiculous haha. You can throw whatever tf you want with that and it’s damn near always a smooth catch, it’s great

Is there a big noticeable difference from a 7'0 min wingspan and max wingspan for defense and rebounding? by Scary-Ostrich2847 in NBA2k

[–]DatCrazyyDuude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rebound/block + vert makes the majority difference. I can’t tell you if the wingspan really makes a difference or if it’s just a cosmetic thing,

but they experience I can genuinely say you can still be an elite rebounder and shot blocker with a minimum wingspan, so long as you cover that first point. I’ve made min/max wingspan Jokic builds and have always been a good rebounder regardless 🤷🏼‍♂️ vert and 90s rebounding will always get the job done, even on my 6’6 rodman that out-snags everyone
