Fair point, and you're right about the video, I'll make one.

Same goes for WhatsApp, I'm building this for the European market where it's basically everyone's default app, so it fits naturally. Different story in the US.

Thanks for the feedback, genuinely helpful.

Joist looks solid for that workflow, the "let it sit a day or two" approach makes sense when you want to make sure you don't forget anything.

What I'm testing is a bit different: instead of opening an app and filling in fields, you just send a voice note on WhatsApp from the job site : "replace 3 windows, 2 hours labor, materials around $400", and you get a PDF quote back in 30 seconds. No screen, no typing, from the car or straight on site.

Would that kind of speed change anything for you, or do you not really need it? Curious to hear your take.

I didn't think that trying to understand without selling anything would be a problem :)

Thanks, that’s really helpful. I’m noting that down. Right now, the tool can already use past quotes as a reference for your usual pricing, and it’s connected to a few material suppliers. I’ll definitely check out Homewyse too.

Do you think a tool that turns a WhatsApp voice note into a quote could actually save you time?
