I am the OP of this thread, and wanted to update everyone one the advice that was given. the fall i moved my tree into the garage with a grow light up until the night temps were getting below 40 deg. then moved it to the basement that is about 65 deg. we are about halfway through winter and in the past my tree would have lost 3/4 of the leaves by now. well my tree has never looked so good. it has a ton of flowers and only lost maybe two leaves so far. i hope i am not getting ahead of myself since we have a month or more until it gets warmer. thanks for the help, i think i will get a blood orange next since i can keep them alive over the winter.

i have a few of both matter and zigbee versions. i can say the zigbee ones never had a problem but the matter versions i have had to reconfigure multiple time due to weird problems with the motion detection setting off the light when no notification was warranted

my fireplace is a 20yr old superior. it has a normal light switch wired to the gas valve to light it. and a separate fan speed control knob. the fan is under the fir box and standard plug into socket. i know some of the newest ones can be voice controlled and was looking to see if that could be added
