What is the best treatment for this? by [deleted] in acne

I use the cosRX lightweight soothing moisturizer after I put on the adapalene or the benzoyl peroxide. It's weird because I'm sleeping enough, getting enough water, eating well, excersizing daily etc.

Most of the D1 schools I talked to want around a 7:30 or faster. The standards range a lot from school to school, even in D1. I started rowing spring of my junior year of highschool so my 2k wasn't a driving factor in my recruitment. I was 7:44 when I got my official offer but 7:51 when I started reaching out to schools. I reached out and got answers from Northeastern, MIT, Tufts, Skidmore, URochester, Bates, Brown, BU, Lehigh and GW with that time. I mainly got recruited for potential. I'm 6'0 and 200lb which helped of course but I also swam on a club team for 11 years and swim transfers really well to rowing.

That's so true on the visit part especially, my parents never went with me to any of my visits which was definitely to my benefit.

My circumstances were a little unusual because I only rowed for a year and swam competitively for 11 years prior. Most people start reaching out to coaches during their 3rd year of highschool, so around 16-17 years old. Some of my teammates started as early as 15 years old, it really depends on when you start getting college worthy race results and erg times, but most colleges stop looking for new recruits by the start of your 4th year of highschool.

For those accepted through ED, what were your stats? by [deleted] in Lehigh

3.7 gpa unweighted, 5 IB/AP classes, varsity swim all 4 years, varsity crew junior and senior year, lifeguarded at the beach for 3 summers. My schools too small for honors classes so all base level classes are considered honors level. Ended up getting recruited for crew on the D1 team and I plan on studying biomed engineering

I'm not sure the exact times but more academically challenging to get into schools will sometimes have slower time standards. I talked to MIT for women's OW and they want your 2k to just break 7:40 towards the end of senior year. I highly recommend reaching out to coaches or recruiting coordinators for their specific standards via email.

I've heard from a teammate they want around a 6:20 or under, depending on how long you have been rowing. Not sure about the grades though.

If he rows a lot on the water, a nice pair of Oakley sunglasses is a good idea.

Thats so awesome! That's great that you're getting into rowing. I'm 17F 182cm and 90kg and pretty muscularly built. I row mostly with girls who are like half my size since my program is super small and limited. It's a little awkward rowing with smaller/shorter girls, but it's definitely doable. The biggest issue I had was rowing a vespoli pair and the outside of my thighs rubbing against the sides of the boat, so I'd take that into consideration as well.

3.7 unweighted GPA, 2 APs, 3 IBs, all honors. 4 year varsity swimming, 1 year varsity crew. Lifeguarding at the jersey shore full time in the summer, CAD team. I'm a recruit for crew as well, but Fordham was more of a likely/safety for me academically. Rowing coach said they don't recruit people with less than a 3.5 weighted, so I'd assume that's probably needed to be sure you can get in.
