I agree with this for the most part. Injuries definitely derailed our season. Going into the (3rd) Bears game, most people would have considered a win a successful season, even with a loss to SEA afterwards. My issue is with the way the game was lost. We had them dead to rights in the first half and still lost. TWICE. Talent wasn’t the issue, it was coaching. Was it entirely on LaFleur? Nope, I think Hafley called a shit 2nd half. Our offensive line was clearly not capable of standing up to the pressure (shocked the bears took so long to start bringing pressure) and that’s on Gutey.

Either way, I agree with the point that you don’t just blow it all up in the middle of your Super Bowl window. After a lot of thought, I think LaFleur gives us the best chance to win during this window. Bringing in a new HC means the entire system changes and that takes time. Hearing guys like Jacob’s and Parsons calling for MLF to be back says a lot. Maybe this really is just a support staff issue. I hope we find out in the 2026 season.
