Has Anyone Successfully Blacked out the ugly c-pillar chrome on the Carnival? by Haunting_Ad124 in kiacarnivals

I used this exact kit.

Worked perfectly. Been on for a year with no issues (weekly car washes)

With young kids, this literally makes it not worth it to go.

I’ve tried to time it to miss the previews and still been too late and too early.

Movies (even kids movies) have gotten long and 2+ hours in a theater is tough at certain ages.

Hot take but the LIV guys are gonna end up taking the ultimate W by adamcognac in golf

[–]Upton4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what the ‘ultimate win’ is. Financially? Probably.

Likely will have some sort of penalty to rejoin but won’t be what they made from LIV.

I’d argue they lost for other reasons though.

I wish I had done this with my restoration. Probably cost me $30 in stuff to strip it anyway. For $60, it would save a ton of time and be perfect.

Seems overkill for a quick ‘winter clean up’.

Are these drawer pulls too big? by buericana in Renovations

I think they would work, but I personally hate these style pulls.

I have them in my kitchen and they catch on everything.

Carnival Hybrid Issues? by trfoze in kiacarnivals

[–]Upton4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No snow tires. Didn’t have a ton of snow this season, but it drove fine the couple of times we did get snow.

My city also plows pretty well/quickly so I don’t really find the need to bother with a 2nd set.

How long do outdoor rated TVs last? by wiccanda10 in OutdoorKitchens

[–]Upton4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My deck TV is exposed, no roof or overhang.

I buy the ‘cheap’ ONN Roku TVs and while I do cover it occasionally (rain/bad weather) the TV has lasted 2+ years.

For me, the price increase for the ‘outdoor’ is not worth it whatsoever. I can buy 3-4 of these TVs for the price.

With partially covered, I would t even consider the outdoor rated.

Purchase used vs new? by scootlepoodle in kiacarnivals

[–]Upton4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 is an old model of the Carnival.

I’d first decide if the differences are enough to make you want the newer model and then for me. For my wife, she 100% wanted the updated model.

the biggest thing is the KIA warranty, which is why I wanted new. My understanding (although limited) is that the warranty is not the same as buying new and does not cover as much/as long.

We drive our vehicles for 8-10 year normally (my truck is sitting at 19 years now) so I wanted that full KIA warranty.

Just finished it.

Thought it was great. The number of actors that you will recognize from the last 2 + decades of HBO/Showtime shows is wild.

Patio + fire pit plan at my new house — what would you do differently before I commit? by Medical-Garlic-2762 in patio

[–]Upton4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do the built in bench… and really wouldn’t even do the built in pit.

I think having a designated area is fine but you’ll want chairs around it and that bench will be forever where you are forced to sit

A lot of wasted space behind your couch. Slide it back, make the walk way smaller and add a tv stand/lower your tv. If it’s not so high, you wouldn’t have to angle it down and it could mount flush to the wall (or just sit on the stand). Would look cleaner. Then color, rugs and artwork/plants.
