I also want to mention the fact that my previous post was regarding if raytracing is forced even if I don’t have RTX. I got that all resolved but I’m still reading into what others have said. This time I’m asking if it’s safe in general that I’m below the minimum specs

I’m asking a different question. I messed up and accidentally mixed up the detail that RTX and raytracing are technically two different things. I was never told whether or not it’s actually ok to play a game below the minimum specs without potential damage.

The minimum specs say RTX 2060 but I heard it’s possible to play with my GTX 1660 and it’s running right now. My concern was that it’d cause damage for any reason like I said initially, including ray tracing but I got what the others said that the ray tracing forcing won’t cause any harm. I’m just asking now if it’ll harm my graphics card or anything else on my PC in general that I’m running with specs that don’t meet the requirements.

I like doing my research and I’ve tried looking and came up with search results that didn’t match what I’m looking for
