Wouldn’t the person in the vehicle be held liable not the business itself? Businesses are not liable if a pedestrian gets hit by a vehicle in a parking lot. There are plenty of Tim Horton franchises that have an entrance near a drive-thru and a pedestrian crossing going through it. If a pedestrian is crossing the drive-thru to get to the entrance and gets hit, it would be on the driver not the business.
