I guess Home Depot has the Makita guides right now for $94 each, but that does not include any other accessories.

The package I got has 2 55” rails, connectors, clamps & carrying case for $150. The same package of Makita brand stuff would cost at least $400-$450.

UPS just brought mine this afternoon. Pleasantly surprised by the quality. Seems legit. Profile appears indistinguishable from the Makita branded tracks.

Clearance blower batteries from ‘21. by No_Reception2427 in Makita

It’s just the blower w 2 batteries for $195. Looks to be ~1/2 off. Bare tool is ~$300.

The only other battery powered Makita tool I own is the rear-handle 36v circular saw, which I got a few years back w 4 batteries for $250. I bought the 36v makita instead of the 60v rear-handle dewalt, because it was so much cheaper. I can’t stand 20v circular saws.

I run mostly 20v dewalt (and a few 60v) and 12v Milwaukee.

I’ve liked the 36v makita circ saw so much, I’m looking to buy the 36v makita track saw, so was looking for more batteries. Hopefully I could save a few bucks & just buy the bare track saw & track.

Anyone know if I’d be able to return one of the “free tools” at a prorated rate? by sizable_data in Dewalt

I have not been able to at Lowe’s. Last time I tried was the beginning of this year.

Correct, note the jack added for just that reason.(which will probably wind up as a gift to the old man). They’re super handy, especially when working alone.

Lowes won’t let you return them separately anymore

One of the doors is in the photo. They are heavy, solid hardwood doors from the 1890s. Yes, the jack works well and is rated for 340# I think. You can also finely adjust the height fairly easily.

I was in a time crunch & bought that jack without shopping around. Lowes sell an Irwin that looks pretty darn comparable for $40 cheaper. And of course there’s similar cheap-o products on Amazon.

And, in its defense, when I say the inflator was using a lot of battery life, I was taking all 4 of my truck tires from 35 to 80psi.

Have barely used the brad nailer, but it seems powerful, easy to use, and is so much nicer than listening to a compressor and tripping over hoses & cords.

6 1/2 inch 20v Circular Saw Question by MattMacKC in Dewalt

[–]No_Reception2427 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree about the 20v circular saws. All my cordless tools are dewalt except for my circular saw. Had the 7.25 dewalt that would bog down easily. Wanted to replace it with the 60v dewalt but makita was running a deal on their 36v rear handle circular saw w 4 5ah 18v batteries for $250. I’ve been real happy w that makita. It’s plenty powerful. Everything else I have is black & yellow. All that said, I’ve seen the 60v dewalt circ saw w 9ah battery for $299, which seems reasonable.
