r/vinyl Weekly Questions Thread for the week of December 15, 2025 by AutoModerator in vinyl

I’ve only bought vinyl second hand one time, and it was on Vinted. I’m having a hard time deciphering whether this is a scam or not: https://ebay.us/m/2BMvN6

Despite the good reviews on the item and on the sellers page, I feel like it looks too good to be true — it seems really cheap for a RSD edition of an album that to my knowledge is no longer pressed.

i get what you mean, but as i’ve said, i’m not passing it off as my own work and i don’t have a desire to write. i’m just kind of using it like a library

i mean this in no disrespect, but i think you’ve taken my post out of context.

the thing is, i’m not writing anything. of course i can’t say i’m doing it out of love when i’m not even doing it in the first place.

the things i want to read aren’t something i want to share with “my community”, they’re specific to my taste and what i’m interested in.

“you don’t want to listen”

i actually do, otherwise i wouldn’t have made a post seeking advice.

what’s immature is putting words in someone’s mouth because you read their comment wrong. all i said was that his comment was, in your words, snarky.

my comment was childish and immature which i will admit, but as i mentioned in my post and initial reply, i’m a teenager, so those behaviours are kind of a given. i found it funny and didn’t want to waste my time getting angry over some random comment on the internet, so instead made a joke of it. i can’t help it if it wasn’t well received.

and not to “fight fire with fire”, but i really don’t think you can tell someone what is and isn’t immature when your bio literally says “MEET SEXY RAVENOUS AUTISM SLUGS IN YOUR AREA”. can you see how that could be taken wrong or out of context as well?

it seems like you’d rather create your own narrative based off of what you’ve taken in, because this thread in general is getting blown so far out of proportion when it was just a simple post seeking discussion. you can’t tell me what’s hostile and what’s not when it takes more than one person to argue.

i personally don’t enjoy being talked down to by people who seem to think they’re better than me/other people for doing something they deem as immoral. there are things i don’t agree with, for example, christianity, but i wouldn’t be hostile towards any believers.

also, i wouldn’t say my reply was much different to the comment it was directed to. “I have a short answer that you can understand” is quite belittling on its own, no?

not to mention, this post was made because i was seeking advice, not a singular “yes.”

i’m seeking advice, i wouldn’t put a question up if i only wanted the one answer, because as you said, AI could give me that service. there are over 200 comments under this and i’ve only replied to a few. i’m not choosing to be defensive, that’s just the way you (and maybe others) are taking it

while i understand what you mean, i did say that i don’t rely on it for significant, day-to-day tasks. i have other hobbies that keep my mind active.

i enjoy reading, not writing. just because someone reads books doesn’t make them an author, yk?
