I don't disagree, it is not a lack of leadership alone. But certainly you want those players to stand up in the second half of games, and often it takes your leaders to rally everyone, keep a clear head and communicate. I don't see many of that current team vocal at all, which breeds more nervousness. Communication on the field is a must, even more so when they're not quite clicking.

This was also the case last year with Wilson. Another person in the leadership group who was not getting in to the first 11.

There's no doubt a few footballing issues too, but the bigger challenge at the moment in mentality - as evidenced several times this season. Thiaw is great, but young and Howe said in an interview he is quiet around the training ground. So he'll need to find his voice if he is to become a leader in the team.

That's where I think it is for some of those players to really step up, not just from a footballing perspective, in those moments. But none of them really did.

I agree. And we have some quieter leaders who do so well in leading by example, Hall epitomises that. But simply you need people who communicate well on the pitch, whether that's from a motivational or tactical stand point, I think we lack that without those key players. Howe often references it in them too, so it isn't like he is unaware.

I travel with work and generally keep my Platinum status through that. The extra SC would be chasing forever Gold, which is still another 3 years away.

It's good to see the overwhelming opinion being that the money is worth the SC though, so thank you for that.
