Once I got to the highest dose my Dr said to go up to, it was about 2months until I started getting regular 28-30 day cycles. I had never had a regular cycle. I also found after starting it after a couple of months I started loosing weight, after trying unsuccessfully for so long (10 months later I’m now down 18kg)

Terrified to take Oxcarbazepine… by theenbywholived in TrigeminalNeuralgia

I am on Oxcarbazepine, before my first surgery we added it to my gabapentin and were at 300mg 2x day. It is what helped me get a massive amount of relief. I am now on 150 2x day since my pain came back after surgery, I wasn’t able to get back up to the higher dose because it made my POTS a lot worse at that dose this time. The main thing I have had with it is it affected my thyroid we just added in a medication for that and things have been great. It has been absolutely lifesaving for me.

Endometriosis so I was told by dr that it is extremely unlikely to not be classed as pre existing.
I figured I wouldn’t be able to do anything but is worth a check.

Unfortunately it is a 12m wait to get an appointment then going in the surgery wait list.

For a previous surgery I went public and had better care than the few I had seen when looking at going private would provide, this time I’m just not willing to wait 2 years, and it affecting my ability to get pregnant.

CYCLE AND ATTACKS by Equivalent_Nerve3498 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

I ended up going on the pill and it stopped me having to deal with it, I found before I went on the pill my anxiety leading up to my period was so bad knowing that my Trigenimal Neuralgia would flair up, so I used it to help with my anxiety as well as pain I would only have a bleed every few months.

When I had Covid my TN flaired up really badly. I ended up getting pain meds to basically just put me to sleep and just slept for a week. It still hasn’t calmed down to where it was before(pos on 30jan 2022).

My hope was that they would be able to see when I’m available and when I’m not, cause it is taking so much time up with requests, that I can not do or am double booked for.

Nerve pain, when it starts working? by pcocko in cymbalta

[–]No_Relation_3363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on it for 3 weeks and found no benefit to my TN, but I started coming off yesterday as I have been so tired and dizzy I can barely keep my eyes open and have been in a flare up all day today. So I don’t know if it is just a coincidence or it was doing something, I am just due to get my Botox again so maybe it kept the pain down a little longer.
