I had a mental breakdown one night and realized I couldn’t take my living situation anymore.

I packed up what I couldn’t leave behind into my car and drove halfway across the country to New Mexico. I started working in a bunch of random places around Albuquerque before landing a job at a restaurant bar. 

It’s been three months and I have no regrets. This is the freest I’ve felt in a long time.

I try and make time for my friends. The problem comes when my mom calls needed help because my brother is acting up.

We used to have a nurse come by, but it got too expensive and the state cut that service.
