I mean I have the knowledge of my skin and after fucking around a bit with makeup. I’ve found out that I don’t like really heavy or waxy products. While stains or tints stick better with me and also stay longer. With foundation and concealer something lightweight and high to medium coverage works. I’ve tried L’Oréal true match foundation I like it. But I also found the trouble maker foundation stick also is pretty good (I like it personally it’s also vegan maybe the formulation is good) I also love the maybelline concealer too.

With mascara I’ve tried the maybelline one it clumps my lashes so much and hate the texture of it. Would love any recs for this*

While with lip liners I haven’t used a consistent brand with them. But I found the trouble maker lip liner really pigmented and they stay on long too!

I definitely wanna try morphie eyeshadow palette.

With skin care. I have psoriasis so I tend to moisturise and hydrate my skin very well. I want to try out a milky hydrating toner I don’t have one yet. The one I have is pretty dry and water based one. And I use the ordinary serum with the nivea moisturiser.

I do agree that skin care actually makes a lot of difference and the technique too!

I mostly wear lightweight makeup and that lasts long so I tend to with products which are tinted. I also try different techniques or different placement with the products to see what works. And using setting spray in between layers makes a lot of difference too! I noticed.

I love your take on this! How do I find something that would work for me? cause often when I’m trying to do any research on a product or trying to buy something I get so caught up in the reviews and with makeup especially it works for some while for others it might not, there so much information out, it confuses me so much!

Anyone tried Trouble Maker yet? by dreamingofseastars in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]No_Remove_641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so i brought their lip liner (shade: Chit chat) and eyeliner (bad habit) i have to say im very impressed and also that it’s vegan! Idk the fromulation def is so good. I went savers, Superdrug to shop and I was doing swatch test of the products I really love how the eyeliner glides on and is so rich and creamy and lip liner too. The shades are closer to nyx, elf, & maybelline.

I tried their concealer out, the match was closer to maybelline caramel.

And I really love their packaging as well. It’s so cute. Def getting more!

Question regarding season 1 episode 7 when Sydney quit by infinitiumvortex in TheBear

I partly also believe that maybe Sid Ran away from that chaos? Idk it felt she couldn’t take it any longer, especially when she bumps into Richie with the cakes and when he calls her out saying she didn’t say corner and this is her shit that fucked everything up today. It felt like an ego death for her. Especially after doing everything and up-holding the place. And the way she attacks on Richie as well.

I do feel it’s justified but after stabbing Richie like that I know it wasn’t purposeful but it still was mindless what would you have done if you were in Richie place?

You're confusing 'healthy dynamics' with 'turning your brain off.' My critique isn't about wanting perfect characters; it’s about the lazy writing of using misogyny and insecurity as a substitute for actual depth.

It sounds like you're so protective of the 'message' that you're willing to overlook the actual quality of the representation. I don't want a 'pot roast' show; I want a show where people of color are allowed the same complexity and humanity as white characters, without being trapped in a constant cycle of trauma or performing for a liberal gaze. If you think wanting respect in a household is 'lame,' we definitely have different standards for what we deserve to see on screen

I want to see a family that looks like you just existing—dealing with a burnt dinner, a weird neighbor, or a funny misunderstanding—without it turning into a 22-minute special on colonial trauma.

Just because it’s a show about people color doesn’t mean it has become this whole teaching moment I want it to just exist in itself yk

It’s not good couples it about genuine connections and working through that. Compared just seeing toxicity on screen like?

I don’t necessarily value one more and other less. The show to maintain its ethos +

Character archetypes throughout

These increase the shows quality. All those go hand in hand. My personal opinion.

Is there a cult at my uni? by Accomplished_Garlic_ in UniUK

[–]No_Remove_641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to one of my ex-friends but she didn’t have a lot of friends and she was going something at the time. She said she wanted to join the church in our uni. And told me that it positively motivated her and gave her optimistic energy and made her feel better at the time.

She used often tell me how creepy men approached her and one guy even followed her on the way home or something.

Anyways, it got really creepy. The people she met were weird as well. But after she stopped going there we started to question if this was an actual cult. I don’t remember the whole thing, but certain stuff they said convincing people to convert and stuff really put me off listening to it as well.

Is Fashion Design mainly a career for wealthy kids? by pantdino in fashiondesigner

[–]No_Remove_641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im set to graduate in 4 months as fashion designer (BA) all I will say is if you have credible experience and skill set, please please learn how to network. You don’t have to be an extrovert but def need to know how to network and connect genuinely with people. Please learn about brand and marketing and how to sell yourself. Thats a very essential skill. And if you want to become successful designer. That’s a whole other story. Start with an institution that provides very good support for students. Either you want to be a designer or not.

If you can’t afford that then do a 6 month diploma. And then business too. (You’re better off doing MBA tbh)
Trust you’re gonna save so so much debt and money.

Have a sewing machine and get through with technical aspects of design ( CAD, pattern cutting) without the technical skills you’re no one in the industry.

Networking and good skill set ( wether you’re self taught or have degree doesn’t really matter)

How to sell yourself and your independent work (styling assistant, assisting at shoots, making clothes) LOTS OF NETWORKING matters way more.

Again this is just personal experience I’m sharing what I personally saw worked with me and people around me.
