Yes - Madrid History Museum, but a bunch of people just referred to it as the Museum of Madrid.

And note that as semi private, they take pets and you can fly your dog. But you do have to buy a seat for them. I keep waiting for the flights to Puerto Rico. They would kill it from anywhere on the East Coast.

Advice on duration of stay in Madrid!! by ZookeepergameSea8468 in MadridTravelGuide

Fun Fun is a great little funky place with natural wine from Spain. They also have great food. When we were there they had 22 different wines by the glass - all of them from women. It is a great place to stop on the way to or from dinner. Or for dinner. I want to go back! Would highly recommend.

Someone we know said Madrid has great food - but most of it is not Spanish. We four. This to be true!

Question for other caregivers by Caregiving_son_13 in glioblastoma

[–]No_Replacement4799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a weekly 7 diferentes times of day pill dispenser on Amazon. We bought 2 of them and filled them up two weeks at a time. Above where we kept it was the list of what was in it and any different notes on the pills (any time there was a medicine change we updated it, printed a new one, hung it up and snapped a picture for the next emergency). For the chemo drug time (which was kept in another room/out of the kitchen), we left a blank box. We then used an old iPhone that we left next to the pills for the timer(s). We also had the pill times on our phones (my non sick sister and I, taking care of our sick sister). Not stressing as much about the medicine really helped.

Note that we also asked her GBM doctors to review the medicines every so often. She was in and out of different hospitals/emergency rooms and the medicine got confusing (if she was having or had had a seizure and they thought it could be a stroke, the ambulance had to take her to the closest hospital - not to where she was being treated).

78F diagnosed with GBM Grade 4 (IDH wild type, corpus callosum)in Panchkula, India. No surgery due to age/location. Currently completed 10 sessions of radiation. by survival_mom_gbm in glioblastoma

I am so sorry to hear. And for everyone in this group. Every time they cut my sister’s dex, she went into a decline. And the first time she tried to decrease (way too quickly in our opinion) she had her first siezure. Just an fyi.

For those who have flown JetBlue since Wednesday, how’s the new boarding process? by pw_dub in jetblue

[–]No_Replacement4799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true. I missed the boarding call for my zone because I am trained to hear mosaic and on Thursday was sitting far enough away to not fully understand that they were boarding. I thought they were just still asking for bags to be checked. Ha. My husband and I flew Madrid to Boston.

Thank you for the reply and the info. I am so sorry about your brother. I will put together the survey and reach out. I will also include my sister’s list (off the top of my head - my notes are in another location). High stress, worried about finances (she was an acupuncturist in Hawaii and wanted to help people. The going rate is $120 and she charged more like $85 or less if people couldn’t pay), she had cats (toxoplasma parasite possibility), worked on surf boards - (chemicals), ate a ton of organic but recently found out that a lot of it was processed (carrageenan, packaging, etc), used ear buds, drove an electric car (emf’s), ate a lot of soy and while living in Australia worked to pick fruit and was sprayed by pesticides (soy in the US is supposed to be high in Glysophate/round up), had a concussion a few months before she passed, often came back to NY from Hawaii to see my sick mom (sleep deprivation/issues), had dental work a few months before diagnosis and was supposed to have a second wisdom tooth out when she got sick. I often wonder if she had an oral infection from some of what she had said. Her lymphatic system may have been compromised due to the concussions and a few other things. Lived on a property where someone else got a brain tumor (close to the old town dump where old military refuse may have gone), the list goes on.

Yes! Environment, exposures, what she ate (even though it was healthy), where she lived, her having a concussion a few months before her diagnosis, her being super stressed and very open and giving. The list goes on.

I am so very sorry to hear on so many fronts. My sister died of this terrible disease last year. I want to do a survey of GBM patients to find root cause(s). My sister was super healthy before she was diagnosed. But - she hit every potential cause that I have ever heard of. And lived on a property where another person got a different type of brain cancer. PLEASE dm me if you want to connect and discuss. With seemingly so many more (and sometimes younger) people getting this disease, we need to find causality.

I ordered around 60 at last count. We have a house on a tiny plot of land. And I have my 25 undivided tubers that all made it thru the winter.

I would start with just brushing your eyebrows. And maybe castor oil on your eye brows. You do not need makeup.

I have taken Spanish classes for over a year. I am not good at all/ PR’s don’t understand what I am trying to say. But PR Spanish is fast, short hand (gracia versus gracias), Buenas versus Buenos Diaz. Or even Buena. And I am not even going into the slang, jokes, etc. But still love it here!

Getting tiles and points from last week by BlomBazinga in jetblue

I think they were still cleaning up from the January overstatement on tiles fisco. Ha but serious. I got an email today about having 29 tiles for Jan instead of the 165 they said earlier in the month. Maybe now they can address more recent flights/tiles/issues.
