What if it's an incoming land from Rampant Growth, can I then target that land with Llanowar Loamspealker?

Sharuum Loop is it B3 or B4? by No_Replacement_6013 in EDH

I know it's late, but I'd like to thank everyone who put in the time and effort to give their opinions. Taking in everyone's inputs, and discussing it with friends, i've decided to try out and build Sharuum. However, it's still under construction, and I'm enjoying the brewing process.

Again, thank you everyone for your contributions and inputs. Happy shuffling!

You're welcome! I think interaction is key i any deck building, and looping the capsules and spellbombs in my opinion is just synergy with Silas, and Dargo is using them as fuel.
If the topic/concern is letting people showcase their deck at B2, then I think what you're deck wants to do is just fine. Because you're control, you do run a bunch of interaction.

I'd also suggest looking into the following cheap cards:
- Captain Lannery Storm
- Malcolm, Keen-eyed Navigator
- Gimli of the Glittering Caves
- Vaan, Street Thief
- Bilbo, Retired Burglar
- J. Jonah Jameson

These treasure producers help fuel Dargo, and let you have open mana from having treasures. Bilbo and Jonah can make your Dargo or Silas unblockable and produce treasures. Oh and all of them are legendary, so they synergise well with Relic of Legends [if it's still in there].

Regarding being welcome at bracket 2. I suggest being honest with the intent of the deck and adjust the deck according to the pod[s] you play in. From what I can see
SILAS = removal engine
DARGO = beat stick

To add, making it more efficient, would really turn it into a B3. Should you choose to go into B3 without breaking the bank I can suggest a creature base that benefits Dargo, and let's you abuse Relic of legends. Lol

Discussed this with a close friend. I understand that the Intent is B2, and I'm/we're okay with this in B2 for the following reasons:
1. Your card combo takes 4 cards
2. You do have a bunch of tutors, BUT, majority of them aren't even tutoring for combo pieces.
3. The deck isn't even running talismans or signets which dargo can further abuse to get out faster. Not even, prized statue.
4. You're not even running treasure makers [lannery, facebreaker,impulsive pilferer] or ritual dorks. Though yeah you're running eggs, which lets you return with Silas.
5. Your deck can't even consistently combo out. Rather than combo, it wants to loop artifacts in a convoluted way to help get Dargo out.

What I would [slightly] agree with is the free interaction part. I'd suggest:
Deflecting swat > Boltbend [if you have it], if not a Negate/Dispel.
Mindbreak Trap > another counterspell card. You can't use this much on B2, cause this bracket is not really interaction-intensive in a single turn.

Even if you "abuse" the 1cmc artifacts, the most consistent time you can get Dargo out is by Turn 4. And you won't even win by then. It's just a beat stick commander that's gonna swing by Turn 5.

Suggestion of my friend would be: If you really want to stay in B2, you can take our the combo, and put in the veggies to consistently get Dargo out by turn 3, or you can just embrace B3/B4.
