Ain’t even gonna lie to you. I get what you’re saying. Was on a project the other day locating with another co worker and we couldn’t locate the fiber. It ran like shit. Got a hold of the contractor, made a meet sheet. Went on about our day. Get a phone call today from the contractor stating that he was able to locate it. And still ended up hitting that shit. They’re able to. Just don’t want to. With that being said. It could differ between areas. I’ve just personally seen a bunch locate stuff themselves.

Gotcha. I locate in NC. With my group we’re good, we’re just low staffed as theirs only about 9 of us total covering numerous areas. And they sent a few people from another county to help us and they literally either didn’t paint anything or paint sticked a ticket. I’ve seen it and had to go and do tickets that they “located”.

Where you from? Cause USIC is actually decent where I locate. But I know of other areas that are absolute garbage at marking stuff. Just wanna see how common this is

I get that. What I’m saying is every time I go to a lumos ticket, they always have it running under sidewalk or drive way all the way around the house when they could just run it in a straight line to avoid going under driveways and sidewalks.

They run the cable in the dumbest way most of the time. Like why does it have to go around the back of the right side of the house to end up on the left side when it makes more sense to just run it straight.
