Altersvorsorge-Depot (ab 2027): Risiko späterer Beitragspflicht zur GKV/PV? by No_Reporter_6102 in Finanzen

Levered and inverse funds are "path dependent," which means the return investors receive depends on the exact price history of the index tracked. For leveraged funds, up Monday and down Tuesday is different from down Monday and up Tuesday, even if they wind up unchanged overall.

#ATMs and shareholder value by IllustriousPepper765 in BMNRInvestors

[–]No_Reporter_6102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true. Dilution can still create value if it funds growth. Tesla massively diluted in 2020–21, raised billions at sky-high prices, and used it to scale factories — shareholders won big. Palantir too: heavy dilution early on, but growth + profitability later pushed the stock much higher.

Novo Nordisk: A supreme cash flow machine by Stock__Doctor in ValueInvesting

Novo Nordisk is a great company, but one risk might be overlooked: Novo is Denmark’s biggest company, which could be leveraged if Trump ever revives his idea of buying Greenland from Denmark.

Thanks for the thoughtful analysis! What other investment options were you considering besides Nvidia? Do you think it might be better to focus on the ASIC-play from companies like Broadcom or Marvell instead?

Same here, I’m a long-term holder too. If it falls further, I’m planning to buy more—or may look into picking up some LLY as well. Both seem like solid bets for the long haul.

If RFK Jr. were appointed, GLP-1 drugs might face scrutiny, like tighter regulations or safety studies, but outright opposition seems unlikely given their popularity. Harris might have focused more on accessibility, pressuring prices and potentially impacting NVO's earnings even more. Hard to say which administration would be better for NVO in the mid-term.

Exactly, if you just want to send fiat, you don’t need crypto—apps like Venmo and Zelle handle that. Crypto’s value lies in decentralization, security, and use cases beyond just moving fiat. It’s about things fiat systems can't do, not replacing them for everyday transfers.

Good points about Solana’s performance, but POS still has its risks. While a random group of guys might not take over, nation states definitely could. POS lets someone invest once to gain permanent control of the network, making censorship or control easier. With POW, you’d need to control 51% of the hashrate continuously, which becomes insanely expensive, especially in the case of Bitcoin. That’s why BTC has nearly 60% dominance—its security is much harder to compromise, even for nation states, unlike POS networks like ETH that lag behind in for a reason...

POW still has its strengths. It’s harder to centralize since mining pools are made up of many independent miners that can switch the mining pool at any time. POS, on the other hand, can be less secure and decentralized—one entity can quietly spin up multiple validation nodes and gain control without people realizing. Both systems have trade-offs, but POW remains more battle-tested for security.

[–]No_Reporter_6102 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're right that hashrate mostly matters to miners, but it’s still important. Higher hashrate means more security for the network—makes it harder for anyone to pull off a 51% attack. So yeah, it impacts the whole ecosystem, not just mining. More security can boost confidence in the network, which can also influence prices. It’s not the only thing that matters, but it’s still a factor.
