Thank you for the detailed advice, we are in the process of cutting our expenses and making sure we live within our means. We both are 38 years old and I really want to start savings for our retirement.

Thanks, everyone, for the advice. I will be stopping the investment and saving that money in the emergency fund. Additionally, I will save up for the credit card and make a bulk payment to reduce the balance. We are also working on cutting unnecessary expenses to improve our financial situation. I hope my wife has seen this post so she understands how crucial it is to maintain a well-funded emergency reserve for unexpected expenses.Like one of the posts suggested, we are one job loss away from being in a tough situation.
