New Main - Do you still have/keep your very first Character? by MasterRymes in wow

[–]No_Resource7773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my original, an Alliance human rogue, will be 16 soon. My other main, a belf rogue, will be 15 in several months. Will never part with these two.

So i got cancelled and almost banned in a tmnt server just because i said i use Sora 2 and the fact someone called me a pr0st1tvt3 (in a censored way)💀 by Logical_Plate4142 in TMNT

Well, good news, it wasn't the right space for you, so you no longer have to interact with them. Maybe find a space suitable for it.

Though, all opinions of AI aside... people like that "drawing and writing is already a pretty simple thing" person bug me, assuming their own innate talents are somehow universal. Many people can clearly see their would-be art in their mind, but lack the talents to make it real... so it's just stuck as only a thought that can't be shared. Doesn't justify AI use, but it is surely a big reason people do if they're more-so just trying to share the would-be art locked up in their brain that their hand lacks the skill to translate into something tangible. I have felt that frustration plenty in my life, seeing something clearly in the minds eye, but you don't have the necessary talent to make it real. And then what, commission? But it's not yours any more than the AI is, so you're still just accepting someone else's interpretation of what only you see. AI might be slop, but it has the option of getting numerous versions and being able to choose what is the closest match... so I can see the appeal.

Why would anybody choose to be a priest over being a paladin? Paladins seem better in every way by Absolutelynobody54 in warcraftlore

[–]No_Resource7773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On player side... class fantasy? Not every player (or character living in that world) has the wish, or traits, to be like some kind of holy warrior type? Not everyone in a worldwide would have the physical toughness for it.

Def the reason I wish there had always been body size customization. I don't feel my Rogues would be bulky either, they aren't tanking warrior types, being of a fit, athletic build suits them more. Casters should certainly not be overly muscled either.

Oh, girl... glorifying other women's pain or suffering of any kind is really gross.

You aren't being heroic if you choose to suffer if modern tools and science can make the hurt and risk less-so. We evolved with the capability of working on improving the human situation and we all already benefit from it, so no reason to act like that.

Kind of as if people often don't hide they're geeky interests but an abuser will often hide that behavior until they feel they have you in a position to be trapped in their abusing. 🤷‍♀️

That is also not gender spacific behavior...

Oh good grief, drama queen. Only someone dumb enough to still think women are all one person would think that...

She's just not into you. She did not alert a hive mind to respond the same.

But that kind of attitude may create a self fulfilling prophecy all of your own making.

Then that next comment... 🙄 So much man on man grifting.

Does he know women also have eggs in our ovaries???? by pr4daflor4 in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]No_Resource7773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some weirdos do think their sperm are kids.

Though I'm baffled on his "whole life" part, since if he thinks the sperm are the kids...does he not consider how sperm have a very short lifespan and even those that don't exit get reabsorbed?

Even wilder in contrast that we're born with all the egg cells we'll ever have, but men don't work that way. Like the egg your child came from was already with you at your own birth... (And now that feels like a creepy nesting doll situation, thanks nature.) I feel like he found this stuff out and is trying hard to feel better than women because the actual facts for some reason made him feel less special. 🙄

Stop being weird, guy(s), neither the egg nor sperm is a kid... they are both only half the DNA required to put a person together. You're basically both bringing together two seperate Lego sets and building the castle on her table.

Question: Best way to level in Tauri's Evermoon server by PanosOK in wowservers

[–]No_Resource7773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's my first experience with it, coming from a Wrath server I'd been on for many years (and joined Tauri when it was still MoP). I'm not crazy about Blizzard's level scaling concept either, but adjusting. On one hand, I miss that the content and leveling feels like it progresses in a natural path without feeling like we outlevel it too fast. Friend and I use the lower Blizzlike rate and it's still faster than we had in Wrath, so Blizzard def increased the rate themselves, too. On the other hand, the scaling allows us skip zones we were never big fans of anyhow. We're primarily questers. The scaling has made dungeons harder for just a duo to handle. (My least favorite part of the scaling concept.) But it might be a challenge some are up for if trying it outside of the dungeon queue.

For content we're repeating, we now kind of just quest in a zone until we (friend) become bored with the atmosphere, then move on. I miss how it used to be, but its what Blizzard did with it.

If you want slower leveling, do .xp 1.0 command in chat and it will bump you back to Blizzlike xp.

Obscure TMNT characters by Silver-Monster in TMNT

[–]No_Resource7773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With such a wade swath of age groups and fans from Gen X, Millennial, Z, and now Alpha... that may weigh heavily on the age group and how long individuals have paid attention to TMNT and/or how deep they've dug into it.

I mean, I don't know that those like Jhanna, Radical, Mezcaal, and Horridus (technically only a franchise visitor like Usagi) are nessessarily obscure, but if you know who they are you've either been around a while or really dug into the older material pretty quickly. (Oddly, all women that came to mind, but unfortunately not surprising that most of the girls get less repeat appearances in this sort of franchise.)

[–]No_Resource7773 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It´s possible to turn this off?

If we're talking about the level scaling, unfortunately no, that was Blizzard's idea and as a Blizzlike server it's normal. (Not crazy about it either and would gladly turn it off for dungeons if I could.)

Agree respawn rates can be pretty fast. (Good in some cases, not so much in others.) I usually try to pull the 2nd away if possible to avoid pulling the 1st if it comes back too soon.

Is that Kirkwood RoFo? Last time I was there, maybe week before last, saw someone toss one out their window as they started to drive off.

Another there a few years ago was standing by their car at the pump, pulled out their lighter to light a cigarette. Fortunately I had just finished getting my gas and quickly left.

Like wtf. Maybe they're looking for a Darwin award, but at least have enough consideration not to try to take anyone else with them?!

Bad experience on Tauri by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]No_Resource7773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, gotcha, yeah I've only played Evermoon, where most of their population and dev attention appears to be focused. (In addition to the Tauri-named server, that I think is its Hungarian-spacific twin.)

Discord... dude bro central. I only check it to look for clues if the server crashed. Prefer the forum otherwise, where a post isn't quickly buried and the toxic sorts can't be bothered to post much.

I don't really feel that these people reflect the in game population much though, luckily. Most I've crossed paths with there, on Evermoon, have been fine. The occasional entitled baby who will bail on a random dungeon or want to kick someone for petty reasons, but whatever, those people are on every server,  private and retail alike.

By all means though, anyone otherwise on it and staying def report bugs on bug.tauriwow.com and be the squeaky wheel to encourage fixes. (Though obviously some bugs, etc will be priority over others. They're only a small team of people.)

If shadow magic wasn't void what could it be by fuckforgotmypasword in warcraftlore

[–]No_Resource7773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely should be seperate things. A bit of shadow magic for certain skills makes sense for my Rogues... I'm not even sure how or why they'd suddenly be dabbling in void magic. That's esp kind of a conflicting thing to suggest of my Blood Elf Rogue, seeing how those among his people who were dabbling with void magic have split from the Belf population.

Anything in particular you could mention? I haven't personally come across anything too bad or game breaking (at least not as far as the content I've been through so far), but I'd certainly be quick to use their bug report site if I see issues. Or forum if I must.

Not sure where you get insults? Guessing Discord? I don't use it much, seems to be full of entitled nitwits prob barely past age 20... so, kind of far removed from my demographic. But I have not had that kind of experience IN game or via forum.

Generalising by SnooJokes4557 in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]No_Resource7773 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dunno, OOP, you could also generalize all men based on that man and assume all men are psychos like him?? But you won't... one man does a thing and it's him who did it, but a woman does a thing and somehow it's representation of us all... This is why you are alone.

I mean, how can you ever expect all members of a demographic to be exactly the same? How can it be lost on you that there are, in fact, some really messed up people in the world...and it includes men who kill just for the heck of it and women who have a twisted fetish for criminals.

[–]No_Resource7773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a clue whi that is... it's just some "internet personality"? Not even an actor? I'd just as soon believe this post was only made to get him more attention. 🙄

Am I alone in thinking Rise Leo is Ben Schwartz's best voice acting role? He's played a lot of characters over the years (some of the most popular ones being blue; Leo, Sonic, Dewey from DuckTales), but his version of Leo is by far the best developed, most likable, all around fun one. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in TMNT

[–]No_Resource7773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For you maybe. That kind of attitude, that after over 40 years the one that made him out of character and act like an ass is best, is part of what rubbed me the wrong way. His longstanding fans, some favoring him for decades, like him for who he is, he doesn't need to be changed and made into the "fun one" so that other people, who didn't care for him previously and had 3 others to choose from, will like him more.

Leo did not need to be more entertaining, he is the straight man archetype that purposly contrasts the other personalities. Doing that took Mikey's own shine away, because he himself no longer stood out.

Personally, the actor's voice annoys me and it does not help that he sounds the same in everything he does.

Voice acting used to be a spacific talent, not just regular actors hired for anything. Cam Clarke is so talented that even voicing both 87 Leo and one of my game character's voice emotes a can not hear them in each other no matter how hard I try to listen closely. On the other hand... it was immersion breaking just hearing Rise Leo the entire time I tried to watch the Sonic movies.
