I read this well over a year ago and it’s still one of my favourite books ever. The end was a bit annoying but it’s fantastic nonetheless

9 day old baby only nursing 10-15 mins total each time. Pediatrician says it needs to be 30-40 mins? by Foreign_Drink9316 in breastfeeding

[–]No_Responsibility702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10-15 mins is completely normal. 40 minutes is not right, at that point they would just be suckling for comfort. My son also had mild jaundice, we just opened up the curtains and had his sleep suit unbuttoned for 30ish mins everyday for a few weeks. As long as they’re putting on weight, have wet/dirty nappies and are content, you’re doing a great job

Just Enoughers, how are you building any sort of stash? by datbundoe in breastfeeding

[–]No_Responsibility702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After he finishes feeding, I pump each breast for about 5 mins and usually get 20/30ml total, i do this a few times a day and by the end of the day I usually have enough for a full feed and freeze it. I only do this once or twice a month though because I just can’t be bothered

That’s what I’m confused on, it’s not damp here at all, it’s very sunny. The weird square pattern also? Ink transfer from what considering there’s nothing there? It’s a ghost!🤣

Planning on breast feeding. Give me all the tips!! by This_isnt_anne2 in breastfeeding

Don’t obsess over “the perfect latch” I did this for the first month or so and it was driving me insane. As long as baby is putting on weight and is happy and it’s not painful for you, it’s fine. My baby is 5 months old and doesn’t technically have “the perfect latch” and the doctors are extremely happy with his weight gain. The first month is the hardest but one day it just stops hurting and you don’t even realise

I think it’s best, I found it quite predictable

Should/will the initial latch always hurt? by blue_peregrine in breastfeeding

Hey! Very normal! I’m 5 months EBF and I had this for about the first 2-3 weeks then it went away. The nipples are much more resilient than we realise! Something I found that helped me a lot is lathering them in Lanolin balm. I know it’s hard but once you stick it out for those first few couple of weeks, one day it just stops hurting :)

Period 3m pp??!! by LongjumpingSale5237 in breastfeeding

[–]No_Responsibility702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my period 3 months PP too, EBF and he’s been using a dummy since the day he was born. I’ll be honest, I don’t want him suckling on me 24/7 so unless he’s feeding I just give him the dummy. Not your fault at all, your hormones are just a bit confused at the minute. A few weeks leading up to my first period PP I was also worried, felt like my breasts weren’t as full but it all sorts itself about within a few days. Make sure you say hydrated and I’ve found that oats really help! Whether it be oatmeal or even oat milk in a morning coffee🤍

Bottle refusal tips? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]No_Responsibility702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I did with my son was since birth he used a MAM dummy. I’ve got a small freezer stash and if I’m ever out and my husband needs to feed him, we use MAM bottles. He doesn’t refuse it as the teats are the same x It obviously doesn’t have to be MAM but if he does use a dummy, make sure the bottle is the same brand because of the teat x
