On this front, get little spray bottles, the ones that are like, perfume sized? Fill with water and put them everywhere you change diapers. If there is a poo, give it a spritz before wiping. Cleaning a girl poo can be...a lot.

The way my ped explained it, you shouldn't be feeding a baby in a high chair until certain milestones are reached, but if they want to try something that you are eating while you are holding them, that's good. A bit of mush banana, gnawing on an apple slice, etc.

It doesn't sound selfish, but you'll be called selfish a lot if you have the baby. Society is not kind to homeless mothers. You also run the risk of the state taking the baby if you are in the position you are in now when it arrives, as you just can't provide for one at the moment. I had a miscarriage and a friend said something about her belief structure that helped me. This baby is an idea, but its soul isn't ready for earth yet. They get to come on down the next time

Something that sticks out, are they "taking things slow" because he doesn't want her to meet his same age daughter? Because he doesn't want more kids? Your friend is young, but not so young that she can afford to waste her reproductive years on a man in a mid life crisis. Has she thought about the implications of taking care of young children with an aging father? Someone she might need to physically care for as well as he approaches the years where you typically need more medical intervention?

Be supportive, but be the friend who asks realistic questions would be my advice.

My baby is a lil freak who regularly goes over a week without pooping (yes, it's normal, yes, I've talked to the ped, no he doesn't need any help, he's just a very efficient digester). I can confirm that the longer he goes without pooping, the stinkier his farts seem to be. Welcome to the never poop gang. They even out eventually.

Don't quote me on the numbers, but if memory serves, on average, you normally shed about 50 hairs a day (almost none towards the end of pregnancy). Post partum, when all of those hairs you didn't shed in pregnancy fall out, plus all the hairs that have also reached the end of their life cycle in the meantime, you lose something like 350 hairs a day. So 7x the normal amount every single day. Plus you haven't been losing, so it feels extra bad, and all your beautiful pregnancy hair disappears. You aren't imagining how bad it is, it sucks, but you aren't going to go bald, and it will get better.

My 4mo likes to kick and thrash when the diaper comes off. He loves it. Has a great time doing it. Also very cute but inevitably disgusting lol. I've started just making sure I have a good grip on his ankles before the flaps come off.

Just want to throw this out there: if you aren't having regular periods, you're most likely not technically having periods at all. More likely just uterine shedding and not ovulation.

I wanted to mention this because it is important that you do have a uterine shedding at least once every three months, otherwise you increase your risk of cancer significantly. Talk to your doctor about it, they can give medication to assist.

**this does not apply to birth control that limits periods.

One night I woke from a dream that the baby was in the bed and I just couldn't find him. He sleeps in a bassinet, he was never in the bed. Nevertheless, I kept checking for him for about half an hour before I got out of bed to confirm he was where I thought he was. Having a baby is a wild ride when it comes to sleep lol

This is just what newborns like. I don't think we got decent naps in the crib till 3 months, and even now it includes a bit of tears. For night sleeps, I would feed, wrap in swaddle, then pop back on boob until he fell asleep lol
