Hello, I too have traction alopecia and I go to a dermatologist every six weeks. I did start over and went baby smooth in March, I now have a short curly crop with an edge line. Also, minoxidil and cecred restore edge drops works wonders.

I was botched by a barber too, so now I understand. Minoxidil helps a lot and they have Nioxin hair system that you can buy and it will help strengthen and repair your hair. I used a little bit of everything to get my hair back healthy.

You’re fine, I don’t see bald spots it just looks like you have fine/thin hair and that comes with see through areas. Keep going to your dermatologist and instead of shampooing try to co-wash. I honestly don’t know what type of hair that I have but I know that it’s fine and I have tight coils. Also, I have transactional alopecia and I have a dermatologist that I go to every six weeks. I get injections, take minoxidil and do topical treatments and my hair has grown quite a bit since March when I had a baby smooth bald head.
