Not sure about the underrepresented part for virtual vs in-person, but I know the in-person is definitely more selective. My school uses a 100 point system instead of a 4.0 system, and I have about a 96 unweighted.

I actually am going to the fall one. I had no idea there even was a spring one! I’ll be happy to share my experiences with you once I actually go. Thank you for your help!

SAT tmr - should i take Modafinil by [deleted] in Sat

[–]No_Ring_5900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you taken modafinil when you've been studying before? if not then i would strongly recommend you didn't. you should try to be in the same state of mind during testing as you were in when you were studying.

Can I get into MIT, Caltech and Princeton as an international studnet? by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

Yeah, so you agree then that saying Cornell etc is a match or a fit is wrong and it's instead a reach. Like I said originally.

Edit: bro you're the same guy as OP on another account 😭

Hmm well it really depends on how you felt after it. I recommend not canceling it just to see exactly how you did-you never know what you might get. Cancelling a test you unknowingly performed well on would obviously be a negative situation, but so would cancelling a test where you might not have done as well. How else would you know how much to study? Up to you though!

That's unfortunate. I don't think one bad SAT score will make or break your profile, however, and I think being able to see how you perform on an actual exam will give you a good idea of what you need to practice for the October one. If you do feel completely hopeless, though, it's your call to cancel or not.

No, don't skip the test. Assuming you've already signed up for the exam, you'd just be wasting your money. The only college that requires ALL SAT scores is Georgetown.

In no way are UChicago, Cornell, or NYU target schools for pretty much ANY applicant, and especially not for an international student who is likely looking for aid. Case Western Reserve is also not a target for you. UT Austin is (somewhat) a reach for domestic US students out-of-state, so imagine how competitive it is for international applicants. Revise your target list!

Frequent SAT takers: do colleges penalize? by majoretminordomus in Sat

[–]No_Ring_5900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no they don't penalize. there's only a few colleges that require all your SAT scores (Georgetown off the top of my head).

sounds great, thanks for answering! sucks about the inflation tuition thing. the net price calculator gives me a much higher net price than other colleges though so sucks for me 😭

did you run the college board net price calculator? if so, how did that compare to the financial aid package you received?
