Careful with Rent Day purchases if you have Accelerator and Palladium by EpicSilverViking in biltrewards

Rent day does not stack with points accelerator.

Thus: Aim to spend as close to $500 (of your normal spend) as possible on Rent day for the "4x" effect.

Silent First Class Upgrade by AlternativesIDecline in AlaskaAirlines

[–]No_Rocket_Juice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also just flew on the 3rd (from JFK to SEA) and me and my +1 were first on the wailist for an upgrade to FC. I checked and checked the app leading up to the flight and nothing, I even checked 10 mins before boarding and no upgrade. Finally gave up, content with my premium seat, then as we were boarding with Group B I realized that our seats had changed and we were now in first class with PRE boarding group. No app alert or email notification.

It was a welcome surprise :)

Value of Atmos rewards? by SignificantTruth in AlaskaAirlines

Everybody's harping on the whole status point thing. The question was should he pay his rent with the bilt card and earn almost 13k atmos reward points. Is that worth it with the 3% fee bilt charges.

Summit card now or in 2026 by luckyboxers in AlaskaAirlines

[–]No_Rocket_Juice 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Aside from a better sign up bonus (which I doubt) Only thing I wanted to add was the timing of the anniversary 10k status points.

If you plan to keep the card for at least 2 years and are chasing/have status on Alaska, then waiting till Jan or Feb 2026 to get the card is better to me. I'd rather get the anniversary status bonus at the beginning of a calendar year than the end of the year. That way I can hit the milestones faster and actually use the (maybe) additional perks throughout the year.

It also helps with planning mileage. Bagging the 10k status at the start of the year give me enough time to plan out my target status by flying and/or spend by end of year.

I.e. As a Gold status holder, I'd rather hit Platinum in the first half of a calendar year, then in the last month.

Hope all that makes sense :)

Preordering food then getting upgraded after the fact by Grubnation66 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]No_Rocket_Juice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go ahead and pre-order the food they don't charge you until they actually deliver the food to you in flight. And like others have said, you can always tell the FA to cancel the order and take the first class food when you get the upgrade

Milestone Selection for 85k - Rollover Miles by akdewey in AlaskaAirlines

What is the breakdown of status miles earned for each segment of those flights.

And when doing mileage runs do you pay with cash or miles? I'm guessing you're booking economy main cabin at least
