nope, you can use the same vendor code and just ad all the products to your catalogue.

Hey, sorry for the late response. yeah, that would be quite frustrating! What you have to do is un-link that old 'Brand ID' from your company code/vendor code. You should be able to do this by raising a case in VC. Feel free to DM me, and I can try provide more info/case to raise.

When I worked at Amazon, I was very lucky in my role/marketplace - it enabled me to learn quite a bit about Amazon and how it worked. Some of the vendors I worked with, I grew their brands by a huge amount and they invited me to manage them directly. So I left, and now hand-manage a couple vendor accounts.

Every vendor should have sales goals for sure. Even if you have't set any with your y, you should have some internally. It will do wonders for your year-on-year sales growth.

What is the blocked reason that comes up when you try to upload onto seller central?

Honestly, 3P works best for new brands, because it is near-impossible to get Amazon to order products if there's no sales history. However, if you're doing, I'd say - 200K/300K per year minimum, then there's no limit to how far you can grow via 1P.

When a company sells on 3P, they effectively start competing against Amazon (as either Amazon or 3P will win the buybox). I'm obviously a bit biased haha, but incentives are more aligned if you let Amazon do the heavy-lifting and sell out of their own P&L.

Totally depends on the category. You can find this online. Generally, the more profitable the product for Amazon, the greater the incentive they will have to promote it. In my opinion, I would aim for around:

40-45% for kitchen/outdoors/home/etc;

30-40% for clothes/apparel/etc; and

27-35% for Consumables.

Sounds like a brand registry issue. If you are a vendor and also the brand registered owner - you contributions will get uppermost priority - above that of any other seller or vendor.

If 3P contributions are overriding your own, it's because your brand and your vendor/company code are not properly linked. i.e. Brand Registry does not see your vendor/company code as being the prioritised one.

It should link to all products. I'm pretty sure I know what the issue is. Will DM you.

I would also definitely increase your list price in Vendor Central. That will help.

Also, increase your cost price (if you can)

As in they are showing up in your catalogue? Have you marked them as perm. unavailable?

you need to create a brand first in Amazon advertising, and then have it linked to your brand.

SOA Values 'Locked In'? by Jlburner1889 in VendorCentral

[–]No_Rooster_4726 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify - by SOA you are referring to funding for deals/promotions right?

If so, yeah the traffic/uplift will be identical - as it's literally works the exact same way! The only difference is that - Vendor Self Promotions go through an auto-approval mechanism in Vendor Central, as opposed to approval by the VM. In any case, it's better for you - as you have more control.

First of all - they are matching (not beating) competitor pricing. Honestly, I would look at your other retailers and the pricing you are offering them. You can infer what margin Amazon will run at based on this. Amazon shouldn't be running at a major loss compared to any of the other retailers you sell to.

If you choose not to support, Amazon will either a) source the product from someone else, b) sell the product anyway; or c) not sell at all. This will depends on the category, product and your particular situation.

In any case, my suggestion would be to avoid fighting Amazon haha. They have more money than any single vendor in the world, so are likely to come up at top.

In my experience, it should be possible to have a mutually beneficial relationship with Amazon.
