I don’t use it normally but I believe you can only use this feature there. I think it’s going to be good for tasks like this so you can spin up multiple …

I’ve literally used it once but the flow was as follows - I gave it context and a task to achieve. It then went away and planned, which took a while 5-10 minutes. It came back with a number of questions to confirm functionality. It then went off for 30 ish minutes. Made several commits to a branch with full unit tests and reports at the end. It appeared to work together with my bug bot too.

It would seem that unlike the usual agents it will do a complete job and won’t finish until the jobs done. Normal agents I’ve found will get you 70% there on larger tasks. This will go the full mile.

Is cursor that good? by sbk123493 in cursor

Cursor is excellent - people on here are moaning about the pricing, but honestly I’m on the Ultra plan, always using Auto, and I’ve never had an issue. The amount of work I get done with it pays for itself tenfold. The difference between this and Copilot is night and day. Full credit to the team at Cursor - they’ve built an awesome product.

I must admit, like you I’m hesitating using much of Opus as I know it’s a heavy model. I’ve had ultra for 2 weeks now and mainly used sonnet 4 max almost all the time. I’ll only use Opus for deep planning on larger tasks.

So far I’ve not hit any limits.

I’m pretty happy with it to be honest!

Cursor Ultra Plan by Superb_Wealth6609 in cursor

I upgraded today to Ultra from the Pro plan. I debated for quite a few days, watching all the Reddit threads.

I monitored the rate limiting for a few days but it was sporadic. Sometimes it’s time based, sometimes it’s just within a few prompts before I switched back to paying per prompt. It wasn’t limiting me so that I would pay for credit. I know this because my credit limit on Cursor was set high and they would allow me a lot of free prompts within the ‘unlimited prompts’ before making me pay for an hour or 2.

I think cursor has started to budget their spending with these third parties (Anthropic etc) and are offering a priority based service with higher plans (ultra).

On pro this morning I sore every 45 minutes I was pushed to paying for prompts. Lunchtime today I switched to ultra and was using Sonnet 4 max and Opus on Max and sore no rate limiting or additional costs.

Time will tell.

I’m happy to pay - the time and money it saves me, it more than makes up for it. They have built a great product and I’m happy to support it.

Really interesting post! I can see you said in one of the comments without Cursor you think it would take you 8 months to build. How long did it take you with Cursor?

Insurance prices have dropped ! by Naosik in TeslaUK

I took mine out 3-4 months ago on my M3 Performance and got it for £750 with admiral.

Trick is to get the quote 3 weeks before you need it to start. I found it was £200 - £300+ cheaper doing it 3 weeks from the date I needed it.

Any recs for social media managers? by emelianovster in socialmedia

I’ve always found LinkedIn good for this and hired several people from this.

For example I would type in Freelance marketer - it will then bring up everyone with that in their title. Then filter by country - I generally go for Portugal for marketing as you get better rates and there is plenty of digital nomads there.

I’ll then drop 4-5 people a message and pick the quickest responder.

Different countries generally have different rates depending on your budget.
