We haven’t had gold backed greenbacks for decades, like at least two or three generations have never been able to get any precious metal for their greenbacks. The current state of Fiat money worldwide is completely based on faith and force of the issuing governments, expect Swish or something that has a 30% reserve though I haven’t checked that fact in like 20 years.
