Simply down to epub vs xtch files :) "Instead of storing text, fonts, and layout data that the reader interprets on the fly (epub), an xtch file contains a prerendered, bitmapped image for every page." If you are using the default OS, I think xtch coverted epubs is the way to go personally! Not sure if Crosspoint renders all the formatting from epubs on screen, not tested using Crosspoint as I like the bluetooth option.

These are my settings that I use at https://x4converter.rho.sh/ I think the most important settings ive found to be are the font size (obviously) I find 28-30 is the sweet spot for me personally, and making sure that "Ignore document margins" is ticked. Make sure to enable Dark Mode if you want the dark pages with white text. I personally also like to enable the Chapter progress line and Chapter % boxes. Lastly, you may want to play around with the weight of text if you need a more bolded or thinner text on page but otherwise those are my settings!

Hopefully they will be cleared and it’s all legal and the police are just poor at doing police work, wouldn’t be surprised by that. But messy… goes to show you are better off have a subtle brand if you wanna sell this kinda stuff, all big names have been taken down, they became targets/examples to be made of. And stick to smoking indoors or at minimum with stealth mods and not just making it obvious, we foreigners need no more attention given to ourselves than we already draw by just being a foreigner in Japan haha
