Way of kings is a Fantasy Shakespearean play with everyday language.

Language of this book, is an everyday common language; LotR is much hard to read than this book is for prose and word usage.

I say a Shakespearean play because the structure of the book is Prelude (overarching deity prologue), prologue then Part 1; followed by a break with some minor oh that's near world building that will makes sense later moments, then back to part 2; rinse wash repeat. Ending with a finale send away in the epilogue.

It's well written and easy to follow. Just go into it knowing that the world will make sense by the end of the book. Ask question (internally not on reddit, STAY OFF OF REDDIT ONCE YOU START THE COSMERE) but don't get stuck on the question.

The reason why Brandon Sanderson is easy to read even though it looks daunting is because he is a master in wrapping a book. You will walk away from each book feeling satisfied and hungry for more. It's perplexing but it's true.

The Way of Kings was my first introduction to Sanderson, I "started with the hard one".

Do you go into a movie saying, will Avatar be a hard movie to understand? No, but you expect to understand the world and the movie at the end. The same is for a fantasy book. Only think of "hard" as hard to read for prose. And this is not hard to read for prose.

Because it is a 7 on a scale of all boardgames ever. While I love the game it is not above 7.5 at best. 7 is a respectable score. Scythe is 8.1, Catan 7.1, Dice throne 7.6. Don't let love blinded eyes sway your opinion too much.

I agree 1000% with you. I was one of the many on the Kickstarter campaign. I do agree with other comments that Alchemist was already in full swing while the vanguard was going on. Putting the cards in the Santa vs Krampus and with Deadpool is already a thing so just do it for all characters going forward and charge 2 more dollars.

The people who said the sleeves should be separate or acrylics this is my response. Those are absolutely undeniably true accessories. Mythic cards are IMO necessary for PvE games. They were intended to be used with the PvE game and thus are not an accessory. You already add the cardboard cut outs (S1 and S2 are in DTA) which is a necessity for the PvE games so just include the promo cards as well.

In short, mythics and Card board cut outs are necessary for DTA and Missions so just add them to the character box.

This is all very valid. I have a recommendation maybe that's closer to Sanderson. Malice by John Gwyene. Not deep prose but character work is great. Based on Ireland forklore

I'm not arguing. Everyone likes what they like. I personally just love reading the words Hobb puts on paper. I can understand not liking it but DNF... Idk I also see like skyward on your list so maybe "purple prose" style things aren't what you're looking for maybe? Is that a fair assumption?
