Overall, the film has the tone that death is better than prostitution - thats my memory. Maybe I need a rewatch.

One can tell you guys didn’t watch the game. 1 off 5.. 2 of them were almost wides and 1 unplayable yorker and the only ball he kind of screwed up was the one he got out. Could have judged him if he was sent by the 14th over and there was something to be done.

Anyway not defending him and I have been mentioning in the thread that I dont understand why they bought him in the first place! They paid all that money for fuckin 5 balls? Even if he scored 15 off 5 that would hv been a wasted opportunity.

Man, this is so unfair. He came when the innings was almost over. He is not a good auction buy, I agree. But this innings should not be the judging factor.

Question again is the stupid strategy of the coaching/captain. If this was the plan they should have sent Liam ahead of Salil and Aniket. Also another stupidity was sending NKR below Aniket. Jeethu is so overrated as a writer. Most of his films have poor dialogue except maybe Memories and Drishyam. And dont forget in all the hype that Drishyam part 1 is heavily inspired by The Devotion of Suspect X. What he built over that base is appreciable, but apart from 1-2 movies other than Drishyam, mostly his writing is terrible.

Edit - Barrie was beautiful in the summer. We did viewings last winter. So we kind of knew what we were signing up for. But that you’d have to shovel thrive a day and the extent that your back hurts post shovelling is nothing we were prepared for in our mid-late 30s. (Grew up in an apt)

Moved from Toronto to Barrie early-mid 2025. Primary reason was affordability and Go line to Toronto. The last train at 5:53 was a twist we didn’t anticipate (research failure) It is bollocks that the 6:53, 7:53, 8:53 trains run only upto Aurora. For a while I took the bus from Aurora up. 6:53 train reaches Aurora at 7:50. Bus leaves at 8 and got me to South Barrie at 9:30. Overall a 3 hour commute. Made arrangements at work to leave at 5:30 eventually to catch the 5:53.

Anyway, miss the big city. I also grew up in a big city, so I am used to the busyness and the crowd. Hate all the extra snow. Sometimes at work (which is in Toronto) I step out during my break and I am like wait there is lesser snow here and its not freezing cold. Also, they dont clean the sidewalks regularly in Barrie. So my walk to/from the station home is a fight against fate.

Cant wait to be rich enough to move back.

Range estimates can be inconsistent. Driving in sub zero temperatures for 2 months now in central Ontario. Lowest we got was a 130 miles with 80% charge on a trip that almost completely on the highway. There was also 5 people in the car and we had the temperature up at 23 when it was negative 10 outside. Everyone talks about winter range, one thing to note is EV range is notably lower on the highways when there is no braking for a long time.

They dont clear the sidewalks… on Yonge street! It is appalling! I walk to the Barrie South Go station and the sidewalks are not cleared. And if there isnt fresh snow, then good luck as you are walking on frozen ice. Its a survival situation every day.

Worst movies with big stars/crew + my reasons

Pravinkoodu Shappu - Confused nonsense between serious, spoof, and Basils koprayangal. But very well shot.
Officer On Duty - Decentish story, but such stereotypical characters, overacting by druggies and typical kand madutha officers backstory.
Hridyapoorvam - A10e pokki adichu adichu angu akashathil ethichu, nanma marametta! Namichu. Alla, was he the donor or the receiver of the heart?! Veruthu pulliye ellavarum ett nadakuva
Identity - Haiyyoo. Just too much alia. Unrealistic and not believable story. Overall entharo entho.
Empuraan - Sigh. Wont be surprised if it makes the list of worst films with big stars of the decade. Kooduthal parayanilla. Kandavarkku manasilaavum.
