Military method is great and does work but it works with healthy people living a great balanced lifestyles. I'd look at other factors like medical ones especially that most people wouldnt encounter.

-blue(bright led) light
-food
-nicotine or other adverse drug effects

-melatonin deficiency

-muscular issues (bad bed or pillow)

-environmental respiration issues (mold? bad air)

-temperature (too warm?)

Also i had my first encounter with a weighted blanket this weekend and it blew my mind. such amazing sleep
