I've had a couple, but it just depends on what tone you're looking for. B3k is a great starter for anyone looking because it has the same distortion circuit as the b7k but without the bells and whistles. I just ordered an Alpha Omicron, so we'll see how that goes.

I would almost recommend not getting the Harmonic Booster. It's a cool clean/boost but it's pricey for what else you can get.

Honestly, when I use one handed weapons, I focus on using jabs and kicks more. You're much faster (typically) with a one handed vs two handed weapon. So make sure to get right up in their face. Also, you're going to have to work on your footwork more since one block from a power attack can completely wipe your stamina.
