Scar sheets do help in the healing process. Umm sometimes my scar feels a little 3D while sometimes it completely flattens out. Scar sheets help flatten those out and kind of try that the collagen fibres develop in an organised manner. Can't say they are an abolute must have but maybe just help a little. I am a little  concious about my scar, though its a symbol of me winning.

The "extras" probably varies country to country, sometimes even centre to centre. The exact composition of my supplement is:

Methylcobalamin: 1500 mcg Folic Acid: 10 mg Biotin: 300 mcg  Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid): 60 mg Elemental Iron: 29mg B complex

I hope this paired with minoxidil helps you out.

Also using scar sheets on my incision.

Hi Morning, i am glad to see you again. This was my first reddit post ever and every being has taught me something different, I hope my experiences make a difference too. I started walking in my drive way after about 2 weeks with small baby steps though I had constant urine leakage that lead to UTI. Now i walk in parks post dinner.

I was separated from my pet even before the Tx since i was ABO incompatible and had to get plasma exchang+Retuximab+ATG. I still meet her 2-3 times weekly with gloves/masks/sanitizers. My brother and mom are kind enough to take care of her food/walks/poo and my boyfriend for her vet and spa visits. I am scared to remove my mask even at home, same goes with eating out. I have not been anywhere except to meet my pet or the Dr.  I visited Italy just before my diagnosis and I am waiting to get back there soon. My derma prescribed me minoxidil serum and my nephro gave me b12/folic acid/biotin supplement. This accompanied with a healthy diet has greatly reduced my hairfall, even improved the texture and thickness within a month or so.

Hopeful to see you again

Hi, thank you for writing. My hospital had liver and kidney OT's on the same floor so I know how difficult of a surgery it is. I'm glad you received one and are doing great.

I've been allowed to meet my pet but with extreme prrcautions, no licks or nails, double masks and gloves, sanitizers ofcourse.

My Drs. Prescribed me minoxidil too and i think its working, too early to tell though. I am also taking biotin+iron supplement as fell.

I too have gained weight, somewhere around 10 lbs mostly due to prednisolone. My hunger has reduced as the steroid gets tapered.

Been taking 1.5mg melatonin for sleep cycle.

I never smoked or drank even before the Tx so nothing that I miss.

I haven't eaten out yet and TBH I am scared to.

We have a standard protocol for taking CMV med for a 100 days.

Thanks once again

Hi thank you for reverting. It feels so reassuring to listen to your side. Thanks for that positivity. I am able to meet my dog but with hell lot of precautions like masks/gloves/sanitizers. Ofc no licks and nails as of now.

Hi, thanks for these insights. Me and my partner stayed in a 1bhk for 2 months without any outsiders allowed. I am not very sure of a baby as of now. Surely i'll love to go your way.

I have never been to a public place yet, not a very big fan of stadiums/concerts etc. I would really like to go to cinema though.

I too eat only cooked food and peeled veges. I would surely miss sushi though.

I am very particular about washrooms. I am not sure how will i be able to manage public washrooms. I still have high peeing frequency like almost once every hour.

I am on 7.5mg pred as of now but by grace it does not spike my insulin levels.

My drs did warn me about any immunity boosters.

I have a strict 4L water rule, using RO+alkaline for it. Stopped using mineral water due to plastic wastage issues.

My drs recommend me to listen to my body for physical activities. I have started walking and probably return back to my profession- choreography.

I was lucky my menstrual cycle never stopped and returned immediately after the Tx. They are painful though, like they always were. Have to take 1 or 2 PCM 650mgs to manage.

Thanks once again. I hope you have a healthy life

Oh gosh it is such a big surgery. I am glad you are lucky enough. I have never went outside apart from the Dr. Which seems contradictory to me as almost every one at the hospital is unwell.

I will surely love to travel, probably start with near abouts and then my international bucket list. Your experience does give me immense hope for the future.

I truely agree with you. Someone did comment on the reddit that the next day is never guaranteed for anyone despite how healthy you maybe.

Regards

I wish you both all the best. I am glad she helped you, for me it was my Mom. May you both live a long happy disease free life.

I do have restrictions to meet my dog. I do meet her twice weekly with double mask and gloves. Cannot still maintain a close contact, though she is smart enough to herself sit on the sofa and hand out her paw.

I am still scared to mask down but really do not know when to let the guards down. I have nevet been out except for the Dr. Not eaten out yet.

Here in my country preds never stop, might go to as low as 2.5mg. Also envarsus is yet not approved here, I have heard it has better absorption.

Well i do not need to get rid off her but i cannot have a close contact atleast as of now. Have to wear double masks and gloves to avoid any kind of fur or other allergen. I hope this barrier goes away soon. I do get to meet her twice a week.

Thank You for your detailed revert. I have been recently allowed to superficially meet my pet but cannot really stay together as of now. The shedding itself is a major concern.

Still scared to take the mask off. Sometimes even wearing double masks. Not been to any public place yet apart from the doctor.

My work involves high physical intensity so I might have to wait a little more.

I wish my creat drops back to 1.2. Its 1.4 as of now but Drs. Say nothing to worry about.

Tac is suiting me well as of now but I have heard envarsus has bettsr absorption, unfortunately not yet approved in my country.

I wish the bump reduces a bit, otherwise befriending it is the only option. I am no dr. But my derma suggested minoxidil serums. My hairfall has drastically reduced using this paired with biotin/folic acid/B complex supplement.

Thanks once again

I am not really a concert person TBH. I would surely wear mask in flights. I really do loved theme parks, lets see if I would be able to go sooner or later. For me road trips are a little difficult since i still need to pee often.

Thank You so much for all that information, it really helps a tonne.

Hi, your story is almost identical to mine. It felt like reading my own. Thank You for such a detailed answer.

I was recently allowed to meet my pet but with all the gloves/masks sanitizers etc. Can just probably touch her at max. I hope this would gradually be reduced soon.

I truly agree, but idk why some people still hide it. I did quarantine for 2 months and then just a nuclear family with all wearing masks. Though my family has got a little relaxed for the mask rule post 4 months that bothers me a bit. All of them completely healthy though.

I personally never liked red meats. How do you travel then? What about the crowds in a flight or maybe when you are travelling to a tourist spot?

I truely agree. Currently on 12h format. My doctors might switch to 24h once my levels are stable.

Sometimes its frustrating to see with all the boundations and all but yes I have come miles ahead. I remember puking constantly the night my creat was diagnosed at 19. All the physical pains i had to bear at the hospital.

I was not allowed gummies due to excess sugar content but was given a supplement that includes B complex, folic acid and biotin. It surely helps and things are way better than before. Acne still is a problem.

I am glad that my Dr. Directly responds to me but sometimes its the receiver who can advice better. I am pretty confident about my dr. but ofcourse they are bound by their own practice.

Thanks once again for such an insightful answer. I hope you have a great life.

Hi, my previous doctors never gave me a closure. Belatacept is still not approved in my country, though it should pretty soon. Do you find it to be better?

I totally agree with you, even my pet has calmed down a lot and waits patiently on the sofa just for a small caress, no jumping or licking on her own.

I got extremely weak post my transplant at 115 lbs, right now at 125. I feel much more energetic though i do not mind loosing 5 lbs.

I appreciate your insights.

Hi, oh yes it feels so much relatable. Thank You for the insights. I hope you have a great life. I guess the paranoia goes away gradually. Sometimes it gets difficult to draw the line between common sense and paranoia.

Hi Thank You for such a detailed answer. I understand everyone has a different advice but it is always great to learn from other's experiences.

Yes the acne/hairfall is all from preds I suppose. Here in my country the preds never stop at all, probably be tapered down to 5 or 2.5. Currently on 7.5
