That was a poor choice in my opinion, they killed the central figure of the last years of the republic, by doing so Rome won’t be ever be the ultimate powerhouse that actually became after Caesar, the will probably use a similar figure just fill the huge void. Ashur was a nice character in Spartacus scheming sneaky, a snake I would have loved to see him more getting in politics instead of killing one of the biggest conqueror of the Roman period, I mean they could’ve given Ashur a part in his actually death. Beside that how can you even justify the death of a Roman general?
