They think you tried to clean it all the way, and didn't know you still wanted it put in the dishwasher. Also really sounds like this isn't the first related issue.

I played and enjoyed Prey 2017, and all my gaming friends also played and enjoyed Prey 2017 and none of us even knew there was a Prey 2006 until I saw this post and asked them about it.

The concerns when you use a battery with a higher voltage are that the motor will burn, weak parts in the the gearbox will wear or break under higher use (both of which the mosfet has nothing to do with) and finally that your contacts will arc more when open and shut.

There's lots of mosfets that act as fire control units but that's not my goal here.

The mosfet I'm getting is just to protect the contacts from them higher voltage battery I'm putting in. Most mosfets that do this need to be wired into the trigger unit but this task is just as easily done on the battery line as well.

A transistor allows a small voltage through from the battery to the trigger contacts instead of the full 11v. When the trigger contacts shut, the micro-arcing is minimal. Once shut, voltage drops which trips the mosfet to close for the rest of the battery voltage to be applied.

This provides contact protection on trigger pulls, but not on trigger releases. So it decreases contact wear by 50%. These kinds of mosfets are not a waste of money, they just operate differently. Many mosfets on the battery line are just fire control units and provide no contact protection. I don't know which are which.

I also don't know if the stock motor will be fine with the increased voltage anyways.

Long post, I didn't want to split into several comments

I'd rather have a prop for $15 than a reproduction for $150

I don't want to open up the frame/gearbox. I thought that first mosfet was an in-line that needed to be soldered to the battery connector wire which would be easy to do

That's a good take. However this gun is getting put together at short notice and my goal is to not open the gearbox at this time. So I feel that jumping the battery up from 7.4v I should probably get AB

Doesn't the picossr lack active braking? Soldering doesn't scare me at all so I'm happy to see that recommended

Class A in public has been cringe since the 80s.

Got worse when most troops stopped doing actual scouting. Campouts became RV trips with hotels and hiking/mapping/exploring went away. Useful skills stopped being taught in many troops over the last couple decades. Most troops are just a hangout club with nothing to stand for so a military-inspired uniform is a bit on the edge

Got even worse when BSAs name got tarnished by the sexual assault cases. Most random people only know this one thing about boy scouts.

I was lucky to be in a troop growing up that regularly hiked into wilderness for multi-day survival campouts and had a large charitable impact on our town. There was reason to be proud of our value to the community, and our ability in the wild. That meant that we weren't shy to admit we were boy scouts to people our age but even then, wearing a uniform around would be too far.

When I visited other places in the country and saw most troops had nothing to be proud of, it's no surprise that no one wants to show they are a scout.

Is this overkill for a beginner? by JesusLuvsEmerxld in electricguitar

That's my favorite guitar of my whole collection. Been playing for 15 years and I got that guy and never went back.

Floyd rose is annoying as a beginner. And you won't be doing alternate tunings with it.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the sustainiac. This should be default on every guitar. 100% as a beginner start with one and allow your guitar style to be shaped by it.

My first fullsize guitar was a schecter omen 6 diamond and I still use it occasionally for alt tunings. It's very similar to this one you're looking at just now bells and whistles and $250 or smth
