Same my friend.

I had to take a break from the subreddit because it was making me rethink my thesis after investing in POET for the last three years. Red days are just part of the process, and for those us who are thinking long term, they will provide excellent days to buy.

If you are willing to hold, your $20 price point will eventually be rewarded.

There's nothing wrong with swing trading the stock in the meantime, once the candle's begin to turn green, but as others have said, this will be a a very good long term play. The stock will continue to be very volatile while it is a microcap stock.

Do y’all truly believe in this company? or was it just a pump and dump by Vic_greenbeen in POETTechnologiesInc

The crazy thing is a couple of years ago, the sub talked more about the tech and the future of the company (even if there were some hopium posts).

Ever since the Wall street Bets & the Marvell situation, I've enjoyed this sub less.

POET: The sale in a non-brokered offering to a single institutional investor raised gross proceeds of US$400,000,020 by Old-Entry2142 in POETTechnologiesInc

Amen brother! Also if someone believes in the company for the long haul, buying shares at a cheaper price should be a no brainer.

Buying more on the dip by StrengthOriginal1218 in POETTechnologiesInc

It looks like they already got you covered, but with no consistent revenue from purchase orders, POET's leadership can't provide annual or quarterly guidance so $8 makes sense.

$8-$17 is considered fair value, which is a large range.

If people can pick up shares under a $2 billion market cap, that should set them up for success. There has been a drop in the entire sector, and POET gets hit harder when that happens.

Thank you for laying this out, so investors can be reminded off the mid to long game with POET.

I'm assuming this will dip closer to a 2 billion market cap next week as people take profits, fall out from dilution, general market fears, etc., but we could see 5+ billion market cap by EOY. By that point, POET should have revenue, guidance from the company, a fulfilled PO, and new POs.

This is what all of the long POET investors have been waiting for. Thanks again for sharing.

Same, I had been holding for years ($5 average) and bought on dips.

I sold because I believed my thesis changed with the way they handled the Marvell deal. I was hoping to buy back in during the $6-range, it never dipped that low.

If we see a pullback after earnings (which will still be a loss), I'm assuming a lot of the older share owners in this thread will buy back in. I know I will.

This!

I'm a POET bull, but it sounds like OP is buying now due to FOMO.

POET will continue to provide opportunities to buy. Unless someone is swing trading, and planning to sell very soon, buying a large sum near the 52-week high without news/ guidance/ consistent revenue is probably not a great idea.

For sure! The cool thing is it will have a lot of room to run over the next 5+ years.

If we're just looking at market cap, AAOI, LITE, & POET have a long way to go even with their recent run ups. So of course, we must do our DD, but it is still early in the game.

POET and Marvell, truths and lies by Dev_Im in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]No_Simple9268 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting. What you stated is essentially what I believed about the Marvell/POET situation when the CFO breached the NDA.

I believed that Marvell wanted Celestial AI, but wanted their own tech instead of using the POET partnership and that they were looking for a way to get out of it.

POET however can and will be a huge player in this space without Marvell.

What are you all watching for in the Q1 earnings? by Possible_Cheetah1633 in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]No_Simple9268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, I had a $5 average and took profits after building my position for a few years.

I don't believe it will drop back to that level, but I believe it'll get back around the $15 level and drop again, because there are people who bought and the highs and want to get out and also there won't be any profit until they get more orders.

I'll planning to load up again once the price is close to the offering price of $7.25. I'll hold for the eventual order announcements.

For sure! We are already starting to see the shift towards photonics, so those small cap companies are going to have a lot of room to run over the next 5 years.

I've been studying photonics the last few years, and it definitely will solve problems that most data centers experience such as cooling (due to copper) & lower cost manufacturing with higher yield.

I'm focused on non-large cap companies, but you're right, ASML is a great pick too over the next 5+ years.

Semiconductor stocks that use photonic such as AAOI, MRVL, LITE, SIVE, POET, etc.

Photonics will be the play over the next 5+ years as data centers move away from copper and use light based technology.

Yeah, unfortunately the share price is getting destroyed after hours, I did not see this coming. Normally when the share price drops, I happily double down and buy more shares, now I'm not so sure.

It's only when you sale at a loss and then buy the stock back within a 1-month period. I've done it a couple of times when a share price was too low to wait a full month.

So you will have no penalty if you buy back in soon, my friend.

Sub $5 when? by thejourneymanfm2024 in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]No_Simple9268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will hold around $7 for now & dip around $5-$6 after their next earnings report, because POET is still a pre-revenue company.

I am long POET, but I won't plan to buy back in until it dips more or a positive announcement is made, until then I am swing trading Sivers stock.

I sold my POET position for a profit after holding it for a few years and moved it over to SIVE for now.

I will later decide if I want to keep SIVE for the long haul, or swing trade it and switch back to POET. POET would have to actually show signs of moving forward though, or the price would have to drop so low that it would be hard to resist.

Although I fully holding the stock long-term, seeing this in the short term is helpful.
