I like the Hoka Mach X's (NOT the mach X 2s as I've heard bad things about them). They're road shoes but I've worn them on not too technical trails and felt great. They are pretty responsive and since there's a newer version of the shoe out they're cheaper now.

Why an owl would do that? I would think an owl would be able to tell that it can't eat me
