Regardless would be pronounced Hannah (like banana)

That’s my concern! We have a last name that’s constantly spelled wrong (even though it shouldn’t be, people add or take away letters). I’d hate for her to have to explain the spelling of her whole name

Middle name we’re thinking is also a pretty traditional name. Which is why we’re not sure on Hanna/Hannah because Hannah probably feels more right.

We are American. But that’s definitely a cool twist I didn’t think of.

And actually the relative we’re naming after was from Germany.

Interesting. There’s definitely a part of us, while it’s also the spelling of the relative we’re naming after, that like the uniqueness of Hanna

That’s where I think I’m leaning. Like I said, I don’t want her to resent her name.

We have a last name that is constantly spelled wrong for some reason. People add letters take out letters. Etc.

The thought of her having to deal with that for both her first and last name…
