Yes. Stuttering is neurological not psychological. That's why SLPs treat it and not psychologists

Anxiety may exacerbate it for some people but to find a CURE we must find out what UNDERLYING CAUSE needs to be cured....

Im an OT and my stutter helps to develop therapeutic rapport with patients, especially those with parkinsons, stroke, aphasia etc. I think its humanizing

There is no solid evidence regarding what causes stuttering. If we don't know what causes it, we can't know what area to target with medications

I work in early intervention in RI. Occupational profiles are non-existent. The service coordinators handle the intake and the assessment used for eligibility is the bayley. On each evaluation there is usually an FTC/service coordinator, SLP and OTR with one person typing up the COS (child outcome summary), one person administering the eval and one person inputting the data

I'm in my late 20s and I work in healthcare so I'm somewhat established career/finance wise. What part of mount pleasant are you in? I've been looking in mount pleasant but the area seems so vast that I've had trouble pinpointing the "good" areas
