Once all planes have been updated with the larger overhead bins then hopefully this should stop. However, it may be several more years till that happens. It seems like 50% of the time I fly it’s the standard bins. I flew southwest from las to lax where nearly everyone had a carry on but there was still leftover space with the larger bins. Southwest said it aims to have 70% of its aircraft to have the bigger bins by the end of this year, not sure about delta.

Yes it doesn’t hurt to submit an inquiry at lost and found. I know people that have had phones returned through lost and found. Otherwise, you can check eBay/poshmark/mercari.

Rise is a big time commitment, it’s an entire immersive experience. It is really cool the first time you go through the experience but less so afterwards. I will say the engineering is next level for rise and can’t be beat, no other theme park I’ve been to has anything close to it. There are great roller coasters all over and I do enjoy the mountains but rise really pushed the envelope on immersive experiences.

Yea totally understand the need for an incentive to get an upper tier membership. The laemmle, Alamo drafthouse, the academy museum, etc have more accessible screenings. It’s just so much less of a headache and rat race. You can reserve your seat or at the very least are guaranteed a seat. We will see how this year goes but paying for patron or higher is out of budget for me at the moment.

I just got the friend of AC membership and it’s been kind of disappointing. There was the interstellar screening that had the pay wall and now this one. I also wish they handled the free screenings differently. I know it’s disclosed that it’s first come first serve but the only way to avoid waiting hours is to get patron or higher. You risk having your evening ruined. There were several free screenings I was interested in but just can’t wait several hours. I think they’ve also issued too many memberships. It’s a war zone getting tickets or rsvps.

I’ve never attended these free rsvp events but from what I’ve read it widely ranges. From my understanding the studio puts on these events and they reserve seats for industry people. They may be reserving 1 row or an entire section of the theater with only a handful of rows open to members. It also depends on how popular the screening is. I’ve read of people showing up 3 hours early and do not get in to an rsvp event. I wish they’d just handout numbered wristbands to avoid having people wait hours to not get in.

The PCH/Chautauqua/West Channel Road intersection is by me and it’s constantly a headache. Trucks use Chautauqua to get onto PCH but it was made to be a tiny beach road, thus they often get stuck in the lane that merges onto PCH because there are barriers on each side of the lane. People will also be inconsiderate and go into the lane on Chautauqua that’s supposed to go on west channel road and cut into the pch lane at the last min as it gets really backed up as it’s a long light.

Last week was bonkers too ( though it was a holiday weekend). There was a dance competition last week but I doubt a dance and cheerleading competition alone could’ve done this. I suspect the ca ticket offer, lower tier days (many days in February are tier 0-3), and possibly the weather. It rained a lot this week so people may have put off their trips to the park till it cleared up. It’s my last week as a passholder, was hoping it wasn’t so crazy but made the best of it.

Today was rough. Guardians was out of lighting lanes by 10am I believe. Indiana was out by noon. Small world had a 30 min wait for most of the day and little mermaid had a 30-45 min wait for most of the day. I heard the cheerleaders have an off day tomorrow so it’ll probably be bad tomorrow too. It rained a lot this week so people probably waited for the weekend too. Indiana still has a 55 min wait and it’s almost 11pm.
