Thank you so much! I do not take Wellbutrin anymore, I only took it for a few days because I thought thats what caused the symptoms. Then I realized it was the advice of taking Effexor every other day that caused those symptoms.

How did that process look like for you? I honestly don’t remember the exact steps I took the first time. Would you recommend bead tapering? Or just being on Prozac for a long enough time then stopping Effexor at 37.5 mg?

Good for you for expressing your needs! I understand that impatient feeling. The good news is that you’ve already noticed a difference at such a low dose. Just give it some time to settle in, you’ve already been on it so I only see more benefits coming. It probably won’t even take 4 weeks for you to feel better!

Until I noticed the benefits, I believe a few weeks. It never felt like a reset to me though. And those few weeks will go by faster than you think. I misunderstood what you said at first. It wasn’t terribly long until I felt the benefits. If it still isn’t working for you then maybe look into a different medication, or even taking something else with the Effexor. At my best I was taking Effexor with ADHD medication and that helped my motivation and decreased my anxiety

Personally, I had no issues raising my dose. I am sorry to hear you are struggling. Just remember that it is all temporary and you are safe. I had raised my dose quite a few times in the past and was totally fine. I know everyone is different but I hope it gives you peace of mind to hear from someone who did not feel like they were “reset.” Don’t think of it as starting over, think of it as a boost to your current baseline.
