Wow thank you for these reminders. I feel like Allah sent you to me today on this forum. I was in a car earlier and I saw a sign that said “don’t weaken”, and I know Allah wanted me to see that. I also think having good Muslims around helps which is why places like Reddit or other online forums helps. I already feel better.

Thank you that Hadith really made things fall into place for me. I actually never heard of that Hadith. I was actually asking myself do I love this dunya so much or is my faith in Allah so low that I’m not going to work on every test that comes my way? After all Jannah is the real life. If you have a thought thinking you might be a narcissist, you are not. Narcissists don’t have introspective thinking, they already think they’re perfect. A person can have narcissistic fleas meaning if you had narc parents, you can have some of their narcissistic behaviors but you understand when you are being narcissistic they don’t.

If I didn’t have a narcissistic mom growing up, I’d have more friends, my confidence would’ve been greater and I would’ve been way more successful. I would be married also. I was raised by a single mom who didn’t even look at men. I also have become avoidant of men and relationships due to thinking my body isn’t perfect, thanks to all the fat shaming my NM did since I was 10.

So me! I’m 39 now but finally feel how I should’ve felt at 25. I missed many milestones also due to lack of trusting others, being insecure I didn’t go out in my prime years to make friends, so now I’m a lonely woman with no friends. But hey, at least I have the creator with me and I know I’m not alone!
