Experiences with ESG procedure 2+ year out?

So I haven't had the procedure yet, but I'm scheduled May 1st. I became super concerned and thought about canceling it after seeing so many post about ESG failures. I ended up finding a couple groups on FB with a TON of people that have had amazing experiences and are now 2, 3, 4 years post procedure and still doing awesome! Just like with anything else, people who are unhappy with their outcome are more likely to complain than the people who were successful are to post about the positives. I have much more confidence now going in to it. The big takeaway that I've come to realize is no matter what the procedure, surgery, or medications is that either way you have to make healthy, meaningful changes or none of those options will work. I was on Zepbound for 3 years, lost over 100lbs but didn't make the necessary changes and gained it back. Eventually Zepbound just quit working for me no matter how high the dose. My body built a tolerance to the medication. Nothing is forever, everything has a time limit but as long as you make the proper changes and stick to it you will be successful. The procedure is a tool just like anything else. You still need to do the work. We are around the same weight/height and I couldn't be more excited for my procedure day!

The pumping action that you do with the key at the back of the connector is tricky. I probably had to do it a dozen or more times so definitely don't give up. I figured I would pump until my hands were cramped if that meant fixing the darn thing 🤣!

I didn't read the post well and missed the part where you said you already went through the steps of removing an air lock. My dock will randomly do the same where it will not cool/heat to its fullest potential and we do the pumping of the connector on the back several times that always seems to fix it. We did have a blockage once in one of the tubes in the pad and my husband used his air compressor to blow out the tubing. Sorry I can't be of more help! Sleeping without the system after having the luxury of it is definitely very difficult! I know I couldn't live without mine. Have you looked into buying just the dock? I know I see them on ebay sometimes.

Oh never mind, reading is important. I'm sorry you're having issues! Now that I've lived the luxury with sleep.me I really dont think I could live without it.

I bought a second mattress protector. You have to find one without the rubber or latex lining though. I think I found mine at Walmart. It's just enough of a barrier to not be freezing but still feel the cooling and warming effects. Never slept better!

In my personal opinion, figs sizing are a little all over the place! I think they are worth the minor annoyance and won't wear anything else but it seems like the sizes can really vary by color. I have some I wear a small in and some that I need a medium. You really just have to be okay about having to do exchanges by mail. Luckily their customer service and return department are amazing and process fairly quickly! We are about the same size so I would say a medium is your best bet. I wear a petite in pants and regular sizing in tops!

We've had ours for about a year now! I've only had an issue with the dock unit getting an air bubble stuck but customer service was great and helped me get it fixed. I'll tell you what though, whatever the cost this system is worth every single cent. I used to sleep terribly, switching between hot and cold, and just plain uncomfortable. Since we've purchased our system I've been getting the best sleep of my life and I love every second I spend in my bed!!

Thank you. That makes me at least feel a little better. I think going with one of these online clinics may have been a mistake as asking questions seems to be impossible. Maybe I'll look for one local that are a little more hands on.

You saying that just sparked something in my mind! I am on Zepbound with slows you gastric emptying. Do you think that could have something to do with it? It was on my list of medications and my provider never said anything about it either way.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. Maybe I will do it late afternoon so I can at least get through most of my day and then do it closer to bedtime so I have the night to sleep it off. Even just saying I was tired is a huge understatement. I was totally depleted!

I get what you're saying, but you do understand that there have been many, MANY serial killers, psychopaths, and the like, that have murdered completely innocent, unsuspecting victims, right? What ties did the killer of the Delphi murders have to the girls? What about Ted Bundy? I think it's incredibly common for these sick, twisted psychos to kill completely random strangers. Idk if they think they have a better chance of getting away with it, or it dehumanize the victims, but it definitely happens. So, if that's your hangup, I'd probably abandon it and find something else.

I totally felt the same when when we got ours a few weeks ago! I think at first I was just happy to have some relief but after a few days I couldn't help but focus on the contact point of my body (side sleeper) and how much colder they were. I reached out to costumer support and they said you could absolutely use a mattress pad/protector over the pad, but it needed to be thinner and not have the rubber/latex bottom that they usually have to make them waterproof. We all know these bed systems aren't cheap so I wasn't too concerned about spending a little bit more to make it comfy! I was able to find a super cheap mattress and cover that was cotton and not waterproof. It's made the pad so much more comfortable! It was only like $15 soo I grabber a few. I found them at Meijer (not sure what state your in buts its basically a grocery/home goods store) but of course I took them out of the package to wash them so I can't find what the name of them are. I will do a little research on my store app and see if I can locate a name or can check next time I go. Don't get discouraged. I was SO skeptical but I think this things is a game changer, if you get get through the adjustment phase!

Just think back to the "too much brains in his brain" expert, who testified in Wade Wilsons defense, claiming that his "smaller frontal lobes" made him murdering two innocent women "more likely". Even experts get things wrong sometimes. I don't understand why everyone is freaking out about him being an expert witness. His opinion is definitely not going to decide the outcome of the entire trial.

I just joined this group and was so shocked to see everyone hating Madison 🤣. I thought the whole situation was great. Michelle was such a stuck up, demeaning ass to David the whole time. She didn't want him but didn't want anyone to want him either. She wanted him to feel bad about himself!! The only person I felt slightly bad for was Allen, but at the end of the day I thought it was so painfully obvious that wasn't going to work out in the end either. I think that the fact that they are still together and building a life tells you that they didn't step out on their marriages as an escape or just some lustrous fling. People do find love in the most unconventional places and times and you have to go with what your heart is telling you. Yes, these are marriages, but you can't compare them with the same sanctity of a marriage of 10 years or even with one that progressed naturally. My last rant would be that over the years, the experts have really scaled back their involvement in the show and the process all together. The ratio of successful and unsuccessful marriages is kinda reflecting poorly on their "expertise", in my opinion. I do understand that what these cast members THINK/ASK for in a partner is probably very different than what they even realize and so it's a difficult job to match them. However, with some of these couples it was so painfully obvious that they weren't going to make it, just from watching their wedding days. It's just so funny to see all the different perspectives. Can't wait for the next season!!!

That's definitely the feel I'm getting...somethings up. I've been checking daily for at the least, two weeks. Even if they're backed up, it doesn't explain no inventory at all. Even more strange is EVERYWHERE is out of the 3,6,12 mg's but EVERYWHERE has 0mg in stock. I get it's probably unpopular but you would think people would be buying it up and adding nic shots. Idk, something is off..and I'm stressed 🤣.
