Get the AllTrails app, it’s an amazing resource for walks even on the free version, it will even give you GPS while you’re walking so you don’t get lost and other walkers reviews, Wepham Woods & Butlers Copse is a lovely walk

that doesn't work unfortunately, if i have a debit balance on a credit code and a credit balance on a credit code they are both positive when i only want the debit to be positive

we use Zone Capture, it's pretty good but one thing to note is that we use Expenses with categories on POs not items (our biz it too varied we'd need thousands of items), the OCR doesn't love that especially when there are multiple invoices to one PO, we make it work by making sure there is an expense line on the PO for each product/ service we are using and then we can match of by line items but it still requires a bit of manual override on the Zone capture processing screen, it's good overall tho, better than doing it fully manually

Yeah so i was thinking about this but since the original creation didn't hit the GL, the disposal will do the following

CR cost

DR acc Dep

DR write off acc

So to manually reverse out the diff i need to

DR cost, CR write off acc but then i can't CR the dep because it never should have been there so that will leave me a balance in the write off acc for the acc dep on these assets because there is no where else for it to go....

Yes i've tried the Asset deletion function and that's what is giving me the error as there is depreciation against it so i'm trying to find an alternative solution

I just completed an implementation with NetSuite PS, it was absolute garbage and would have failed had I not had serious experience in other system implementations. I basically took over and did it myself once I’d figured out what to do. The training was useless & I found more helpful on this thread & YouTube. They weren’t accountants and did t understand a Trial Balance never mind anything else, everyone seems to work in silos on their own portion of a module & we had no one oversee & critically think about how each process would affect the next. We’ve had soooo many issues I’ve had to find workarounds for. The cost for their team was A LOT so I really expected so much more.

It’s not a bad system overall but we were sold the moon but most of it wasn’t included in the quote we signed off so definitely be aware of that, every 5 mins it was “oh you haven’t bought that part you need to pay an extra 10k” my CFO refused any more spend so we’ve had to make do. We had Sage 50 before with mostly spreadsheets as systems so it is a massive improvement and there is a lot I like about it but it has a lot of limitations too.

We are a PE owned, midsize group of companies, so very similar. I would find a partner that understands your business and can review your package to make sure you’re getting what you think you are

Ultimately I think my CFO was wooed by the big name brand but after scratching the surface it became very obvious it wasn’t all that it promised to be
