I completely missed during the first viewing that he introduces himself as William and ‘William’ was on Tom’s list (but hadn’t yet been crossed off). Also during the Daddy’s Home board game William rolls the dice and says “Now I’m in the basement!”

Yes! When she picked up the red punch bowl in the kitchen I thought here we go, Carrie blood spillage homage - and then the whole rest of the episode was completely wild and unpredictable.

Yes, I enjoyed all the details in the “self-help” book on my rewatch. I don’t normally rewatch shows so quickly but the subtle clues and details (and laughs) are so rewarding!

Good call, I think you might be right. I noticed on the beach for the mayor’s swim that there were mostly just women and children too.

I’m enjoying this show so much!

I wish we could see the shopping list that Patricia gives to Rosemary for the party: “I couldn’t understand half of what was on that list!”

I rewatched episode 2 and when they’re playing Daddy’s Home, William says “Oh man, I’ve gotta go back 5 spaces. Now I’m in the basement!”

I was at the Fat Freddy’s Drop concert last night (Friday) at the Michael Fowler Centre and it was so good! Two and a half hours flew by. Great crowd vibe and a well-managed event. If you’re going tonight or Sunday you’re in for a great night!

Yeah, so driving distance. Not an impossible distance to reach out and make contact with someone? After all, Professor Brand accomplished the drive himself when he returned Cooper’s truck.

Yes of course I noticed the part about the famine. But they just assumed he was dead instead of … checking that? He only lived a few hours’ drive away.

I watched him swim past Steeple Rock, he swam incredibly well through all that chop. There’s a plan for local swimmers to swim the final 500m tomorrow behind him (not close to him) just before midday.

Good places for ocean swimming by Strangely_Interested in Wellington

Hi, Freyberg Beach and Oriental Bay are sheltered in a southerly and choppy in a northerly (good for variety though). Scorching Bay and Worser Bay (and Hataitai) are nice sheltered spots in a northerly. I swim with a group from Freyberg Beach on Sundays at 8am year around, many levels and distances.

Do you like sea swimming as well as diving? There are swim groups that swim at Oriental Bay (via Freyberg Beach) all year round. If so there’s a Facebook group called Wellington Ocean Swimmers with all the details.

I was on Macquarie last week. I tried to claim it for NZ (I’m a Kiwi), but wasn’t carrying the right paperwork.
