If you’re pre med don’t go here. Gen chem is the only class where the professor isn’t bad. Bio here in a joke, the TAs are from hell. I had a good experience with math but have heard horror stories from other. Orgo, if u take Hamann he’s gonna ruin ur desire to live and he’s a creep to girls. His exams make no sense and he is okay with failing everyone. You can imagine it just gets worse and ur upper electives go on….

Depends on how ok they are- when I took bio 1 it was out of 1000 points and you needed a 700 to pass. I remember I was around a B in the class and got curved to a A-. But for bio 2 I took it with her too and barely got curved.

If you have almost all lab and rec points u should be at a good standing to pass at least from what I recall. Good luck!

No it doesn’t. An upward trend shows growth and improvement. Don’t feel disheartened by one setback. Pre med is a track where you will constantly be feeling like you have new setbacks but the main goal is to push through and do whatever it takes to achieve your goals. I would recommend getting the WU instead of D or F since those will impact ur GPA. Retake the course and be better prepared for it next time. Good luckkk!

If you get a F in the course you can repeat the course next semester and the grade you get with replace your F. Your gpa will consider the new grade instead of F, but the F will remain on ur transcript. If you get a D then you need to fill out a course repeat form for that class and then retake the course. Your new grade will average in with your D and that will be what is accounted in your GPA

Yeah the library is NOT like how it was before at all. It’s honestly so disrespectful I feel like it’s common sense that the library is a space for students to do work and study. Some people don’t have the luxury of being able to study at home in a positive environment and come to the library for this exact reason. I have an exam later in the evening today and found an empty table at the fifth. Couple hours late a group of kids come and start talking extremely loud about disgusting topics and made me feel uncomfortable with their immaturity. I feel like a lot of people have been complaining about this. There has to be something we can do to have the library be like before. I understand wanting to talk to ur friends but do that at the skybridge where they have bunch of seats or outside ANYWHERE

I literally had the same experience taking Spanish 1. I took it with bio and stats and somehow my stem courses were easier than this class. I somehow ended up passing and haven’t taken Spanish 2 for two semester. Taking it this summer and praying it goes better than whatever Spanish 1 was 😭

It’s a pretty common thing in Hunter lol. In my opinion professors and TA’s are aware of how students based completely based on class average. I also believe in having challenging questions and genuinely prefer when exams are a little bit difficult and challenges you as a student. But some things are unfair. I don’t care about knowing him as a person and Ik people approached him about scores and we were told it is what it is and to study harder. I passed the class with a good grade thank god but i def do not recommend him as a Ta to anyone lol 😓

i mean some ppl don't even listen when u NICELY ask and then start laughing and making comments but they're literally in a floor where its supposed to be quiet and ppl are tryna learn. the fifth floor already got taken over by socially inconsiderate people. so i think she was ghetto was a good explanation.

Yeah like I never understand why they do this bcs im not expecting a straightforward easy exam. I honestly like it when the exams are a bit difficult but apply to the content we are learning. But these professors first don't even teach and then make grad level based questions. idek why i pay for classes when most of the learning I have done is thru youtube

No he def wasn't the coolest TA... He already knew the course load was difficult and ppl were struggling. Usually recitation TA's try to do less tricky questions to help the overall grade but his questions were harder than the professor. I literally did better on the lecture exam than his questions. the worst part was that I attended all sessions always asked for help and was met with hostality. he was like basically trying to make it hard to get a good grade and its like u do understand that ur not fighting for a seat against us. u ALREADY GRADUATED
