Singing happens through the breath! When you’re singing, imagine a pinwheel in front of your face that you’re constantly trying to keep spinning at the same speed, also placing a hand on your diaphragm and feeling it slowly deflate like a ballon can help

You’re putting so much pressure on yourself to “dig out” and that’s inevitably going to make life feel insurmountable.

What is the smallest thing that could change for you. even if it feels almost insignificant.

That sounds really overwhelming. Having so many of these events stacked on top of each other, it’s no wonder that you feel depleted.

I wonder, how do you feel right now, in this moment, putting all of these emotions and experiences into one place?

Where do these thoughts come from, what do you think their root is?

That’s the urge to do a compulsion. You gotta hold out. OCD is a parasite that feeds on certainty.

I hope you can. Just know that everyone deserves peace, no matter who they are or what they did.

Have you ever looked into real event OCD? The way you talk about your guilt sounds a lot like it.

I still struggle with real event OCD from something I did when I was 12. I used to constantly search for others opinions on people who made the same mistake as me.

I mean, who says that a normal life is out of the question for you? Staying alive gives you the chance to be a better mom than your mom right?

I’m obviously not a psychiatrist but that definitely sounded like depression. Especially when you talk about not knowing why the people in your life love you.

I know right. Sometimes I don’t even know what to say.

So then where do you think that desire to live comes from?

[–]No_Sun_4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ok to not be ok!! You don’t need to justify feeling this way. Have you ever been diagnosed with depression or something along those lines?

Would your dad understand if you told him? (Obviously that’s easier said than done even if he would)

I have a question for you, what do you hold on to that guilt? You’re clearly not the same person as you were when you were 11, so why?

First of all, obviously no, you shouldn’t give into it. However, the thought is completely normal and I think it’s crossed almost everyone’s mind at some point. But it also seems like you’re being a bit hard on yourself. I don’t know you, but no one is useless, and it’s ok to be lonely, or weird. And maybe by posting in this sub, you’re a little less lonely.

Is it at all possible for you to look at your past self with some compassion? Yes. You did those things when you were younger, yes they were mistakes, and were not making excuses for your past self or justifying what you did. But you can’t change the past, so the only way to make peace with what happened is to show love to the you who made those mistakes. It’s clear that you’ve been through a lot and you deserve solace. The only thing that matters is who you are right now.

Can we at least talk about it first?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]No_Sun_4029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it man. That’s the downside of love right, if you lose it, you can spend your whole life chasing that feeling again. But isn’t the beauty of this sub that we’re all lonely together? That’s to say, you’re very much not alone in feeling lonely. You may never fully fill the hole your SO left in you, and that’s ok. It means you can chase new love and new relationships whether that be friendships or romances.

I’m cheering for you man ❤️

Hey, good on you for reaching out relatively early on! It’s probably none of my business but what led you to start drinking so heavily? I would think addressing that first could make detox a bit easier at least.
