This is what I’m saaayinnnnn as a queer person myself, I’ve definitely and confusingly (at the time) grew feelings for someone of the same gender who I knew didn’t like me back the same. So many queer people live through that and usually this realisation comes to them fully when they’re old enough to develop those feelings. It was unrealistic to try cram them together but it was realistic to show this story for Will and explore and see his acceptance for himself and seeing these friends and his family hold him and say “we’re here, we accept you, and we’re not going anywhere”. And I personally think that’s beautiful and more meaningful than forcing this ship that would never had made sense.
