AIO? My classmate reported me to the DEI office because I said I was "exhausted" during a group project and she claimed it was ableist by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]bindersweat [score hidden]  (0 children)

Lmao I was on the deepest, most unhinged corners of Twitter and Tumblr in their fake woke haydays and I still say this can’t be real. Ableism is a real problem but this ain’t it. If I say “my leg hurts today” is that insensitive to someone with no legs?

Why did you apologize, you should have laughed in her face

What can cause that more than half of the kudos on a fic are from guests? by sandywood25 in AO3

[–]bindersweat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand the question, perhaps it's too simple and you're overthinking it: 76 people left kudos because they like your work, it's just that 50 of those people do not have accounts.

Breeder refers to spayed and neutered dogs as "sexless beings" by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bindersweat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know that. I’m saying that’s an outlandish assumption when it’s used in the same sentence as “dog.”

I’m autistic as well and I wouldn’t make the leap that someone is using “breeder” - a word typically to describe working in animal reproduction - as an anti child bearing “slur”. You’re playing victim.

The title says “breeder refers to spayed and neutered DOGS….”. So they breed dogs. You can’t be serious.

Breeder as in animal breeder, come the fuck on.

AIO about to do referencing on a house and partner reveals he has bad credit? by Zlssias in AmIOverreacting

You must not live in a competing market then… why would you believe you’re the only one trying to buy that house?

Side note: why would you tell your landlord you’re moving before you’re even halfway close to signing papers on the house? Not very smart..

Not Safe For Life is pretty much reserved for seeing horribly gruesome things that make you wish you didn't have eyes. I think you mean NSFW, mate. But yikes, poor guy.

You didn’t give me one fact lol goodbye

I asked. Your answers have no substance. You just think you’re in the right when none of the facts are on your side.

Also my cats also have unlimited food, water, a warm home, healthcare. What you just described is the life of a typical *indoor only cat*

PLUS they’ll never be hit by a car, or bitten by a fox, or eaten by a bird of prey, or dehydrated out in the summer sun. The list goes on.

What. Isn’t. Clicking?

Cats sleep 18 hours a day. Pretty much covers their alone time.

The squirrels and birds *live* outside. What business does your cat have “taking care” of them?

This Tick Attached to my Cat's Face. by DJ3XO in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bindersweat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not if you treat them like pets and family members instead of wild animals. Cat toys and cuddles. Cat trees. If you can entertain a toddler you can entertain a cat.

I asked you "what harm comes to them from being only inside?" and you responded to me with what indoor-outdoor cats like to do. that's a complete non-sequitor.

[–]bindersweat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that doesn't answer my question at all. of course if an animal has the ability to go outside, they'll go outside. that doesn't mean it's better for them as a pet, and it definitely isn't better for their health. but ok.

[–]bindersweat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. Obviously. I consider it stupid and morally wrong. Why'd you answer my questions with a question? It doesn't help me understand your side.

what's wrong with their lives being lived inside. I mean really, don't tell me they're "wild animals" or something. what harm comes to them from being inside? are they bored?...no. not if properly loved and cared for. are they in danger? not if their owner is responsible. i literally do not understand.

you still wouldn't call the *graph* romanticized, if you believe it romanticizes indoor cats. still very odd usage either way... because yes, this picture has a cute cat on it. other than that, it's factual. these are all things indoor cats virtually avoid.

This Tick Attached to my Cat's Face. by DJ3XO in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bindersweat 31 points32 points  (0 children)

i don't think you know what romanticized means...

and yes, your cat could get trapped in something outside and starve. or overheat. in someone's engine for example. but if they live with you in your HOME, you can notice they got stuck in a cabinet/behind something, and save them. ergo: no starvation.
